Guess we are going to have to live with these pairings because Mancini is the new golden child. Laviolette is doing this team a disservice sitting jones.
Mancini does a few things well and is big. Laviolette doesn't like Jones because he's small.

smith is a solid hockey player. unfortunately he looks like jag next to 20-93I thought smith had a quietly effective game tonight.
Lindgren at 4.5 is one of the worst bang for your buck contracts in the league. It’s not top 5 but it’s certainly top 10.
Now now, let’s be fair. The defense is not good. The pairings aren’t good, and they get bogged down way too much in the offensive zone.
I know Jones is “small,” but the defense is so much better when he’s in the lineup.

Every other team you watch uses the middle of the ice on breakouts. It’s incredible. Not the rangers.Another problem is that we use the same breakouts over and over. Utterly predictable. Up the wall. Up the wall. Touch pass in the neutral zone.

It’s the same team it’s been since gallant was hired with some redecorating on the margins. I don’t know why we should expect anything but what we’ve gotten.Honestly, is this basically the 2022 team? An average at best team with a goalie playing out of his f***ing mind? I legit feel like it would be wasting our time watching this team night in and night out. They're going to win as many cups as any one of us.

*chews gum* "puck is in the net, you're welcome" *chews gum*
Remember last year when Trouba and Lindgren were out and the team looked good?
Can we do that again? At least just Lindgren?
I really thought they were gonna stick with that. It unlocked more offense from Schneider actuallyEven Schneider-Trouba looked solid

The only thing that gives me hope is Laf, Kakko, Chytil and Cuylle have all taken steps this year. Can they be the depth we need to put us over the top or are they literally just balancing the scales as our top 6 regresses?Honestly, is this basically the 2022 team? It's a great place to see a game, and Sens fans have always been very kind when I have encountered them in attendance there. Congrats on getting a new building in a few years, too.Had a terrific time at the game tonight.
You guys have a great building and a great city.
