That’s pretty standard. The guys on the big contracts get top line and PP minutes. Benson will have to earn that spot and I doubt he’ll be able to do that this year. A lot of talent in front of him.I noticed that in practice, Benson has been on the 3rd line, not the 1st line as he was in the pre-season. Also, no PP time. Does that mean anything as far as what the plans for him are for this year?
This is very much not true.I prefer Benson as an asset myself because I think he's awesome, but he would have to become a superstar scorer to be worth more than Dach in NHL circles.
Do you have anything, anything at all say about Benson? You disagree that Kakko is the more complete player?
I'd think he would start on the 2nd line with Cozens and Peterka but who knows where he will end up.Seems like the kind of kid who can play up and down the lineup so it will be interesting to see where he starts out tomorrow night. I'll bet he gets some PP time as well especially if he's having a good showing.
or maybe you are just a biased habs fanMost people dont know shit about F, so Im not surprised.
Let’s take a look at hat hooking penalty…Good first period performance marred somewhat by the hooking penalty that the Rangers capitalized on quickly. For the most part Benson was doing Benson things, but it was nice to see him get up in Trouba's business when Trouba started getting physical.

clear holding the stick call the other way…but refs…. In no way a hooking call. His stick is flat out hand closed grabbed by Fox and he got the penalty for it
Looks like he belongs. Obviously he’d benefit from getting a little faster and stronger (like any 18 year old) but Benson is easily keeping up with the play and he’s not physically overmatched either. He’s playing his game.
Looks like he belongs , which is surprising for his age , what a beauty
they are the same personHow did you guys do this,

Fox is literally holding his stick with his glove. No, sorry that’s hooking. He also took another penalty not called. He had a rough first game.
You can be a fan of him, and be truthful about that.
