I still think 3rd was a reach for him and Demidov should never have fallen to fifth.

Hopefully for the ducks he continues to progress and works out as good value for 3rd overall.

The last guy they took 3rd overall Mason McTavish looked like a great pick the year after but since then hasn't really progressed as well as some thought he might but there is still lots of time.

Last year was such a weird draft though, a bunch of guys were projected all over the place. Not in a bad way necessarily, I think it was just that there were so many guys close in overall talent but very different in style, and all with at least some flaws/questions.

I hope they lose in an embarrassing way and I hope he absolutely goes insane on the OHL.

Team Canada got cute last year, and left some top scorers off the team, including Rehkopf. What happened? When the chips were down they couldn't score, and were eliminated in the quarter finals.
It looks like they are setting up for it to happen again.
I'd prefer a different GM each year, instead of the same decision makers every time.

Him making the NHL next season isn't the silly part, that would be great.

Suggesting he turn down Team Canada if he's in the OHL next season and named to the team is indeed silly. He'd accept in a heartbeat and light it up, showing them what they missed out on this year.

At this point, if you remove the first 5 games of the season he would be 2nd in points per game in the OHL only behind Martone.

Crazy when you consider they took this guy for his potential at age 23, not in his D+1.

Saw this coming a mile away from his second half of the season and playoffs last year. Didn’t think it would be this crazy though but fully expected 100+ pts this year but I’ve seen some 100+pts seasons where it’s like wow this guy has 100pts? How?

And this guy has been highlight reel after highlight reel like McDavid his draft year. (I am NOT comparing him to McDavid, just that he is always on the highlight reel LIKE McDavid)

Going to be a special player- not sure who to compare him to but I’m fully confident sennecke puts up a LOT of points in the NHL barring injuries.

I said around the draft he has the 3rd most potential in the draft and this incredible year so far has me even more confident than I originally was in my prediction.

I’ll say it’s again. Only 2 that have more are Celebrini (looking great so far) and Demidov(again, looking great)
