Yeah I don't think they're getting 'fair' value for him. If rumors are true, their team doctors twice botched surgeries and recovery for his shoulder injury. You're not getting any team in the league to pay good value for what likely is damaged goods given the risk involved.

In the athletic blurb in the OP it talks about reasons he wants out. I don't sub to the Athletic, so what does it say as far as reasons for him wanting out?

I'd love to see the Pens take a gamble on him if it could be a trade based on roster players to make it work cap-wise. I wouldn't want to deal any valuable futures for him though.

I really can't see the Tarasenko deal being a lateral trade.

It's likely picks/prospects as the Blues should probably start the rebuild.

It should be, but Armstrong and ownership inexplicably still think the championship window is still open

Why would blues take lesser pieces back for tarasenko. If traded blues will free up Cao and get futures. Please explain why you think we will take bad contracts just to help pens

Where in my post does it say lesser pieces or bad contracts? Have you had your morning coffee yet? Not much sleep last night?

What is your offer. If you have a first and prospect then sold if not no since in getting a middle sixer or bottom sizer from you we have it in spades. Feel free to drop your offer prove me wrong. Just got my coffee now so maybee things get better lol

The gist of it is team Doctors messed up his shoulder surgery twice, got passed over for the captaincy. No longer has faith in the organization.

STL got his best years. Now is the time to move him. STL fans might not like this but it may actually be the best thing for the team. Move out that huge contract before it becomes an anchor and get some good assets back in the process.

This is Tarasenko pushing to be dealt. This isn't StL being clever. And the contract has 2 years left on it. There's no anchor. And they're probably not getting good assets. Almost 30, shoulder issues, trade request, limited destinations. None of that adds up to good assets in return. Certainly not a 20 year old version of Tarasenko. More like a guy who is like 27 or so, who is already being paid, who probably isn't as good as a healthy Tarasenko

It would be Zucker for him if Zucker doesn’t get taken by Seattle. He is damaged goods and has 2 shoulder injuries. Malkin and him will be deadly though

It's both. There have been rumors for years that players haven't liked how Tarasenko has received preferential treatment at times. It's not a surprise that his name came up in 18/19 before the season got back on track. Both sides need to move on, it's a mutual decision.

He s gonna be a Rangers with his good friend Panarin, it s clear!
Rangers have zero interest in adding wingers (unless we are talking about a 4th liner). Rangers are loaded with wingers. One could argue they need to get rid of one top winger (Buch).

How can he be deadly if he is damaged goods. You just contradicted yourself. Everytime it is mentioned that he is healthy it gets ignored. Qe get it you all are going to beat the drum to the tune he is bad not worth anything. But we will take him off your hands for nothing.... he will be dangerous on this team. Lol really come on man
