It would be interesting for people to give an honest assessment like this of how they felt about all three of Lias, Chytil, and Kravtsov on draft day; instead of picking out the one(s) they were right about to this point and leaning into those.

For me, if I had to rate from 1-10 how I felt about each pick at the time:
Lias - 3
Chytil - 3
Kravtsov - 6/7

Lias would have immediately jumped to a 5 or so a couple days after the draft, but that's how I felt on draft day, and it's why I try to only talk about prospects in less than definitive statements. Because I'm very capable of being an idiot in any given post.
Lias: 2
Chytil: 9
Kravtsov: 7

Interesting that they're moving him over to the left. Not necessarily a bad thing, IMO. Think his game plays anywhere on a line (including, potentially, eventually, center).

In this case it's more to accommodate keeping Sedlak (C) - Hyka (RW) duo intact.

What a goal just now. His pressure on the d caused that turnover.

Having to constantly hound defensemen in their own zone is something that Kravtsov (I believe; maybe Kakko?) mentioned as being an adjustment for him in the North American game.

Everytime I see him making those aggressive types of plays now, I forget a little more about any character concerns that I may have had.

Loved the goal and the way he has looked but pump the breaks a bit guys :) let's see him do it in north america.
The KHL is a lower scoring league than the NHL, and you don't see young guys put up numbers in the KHL the way they do in the NHL either. I remember everyone gushing about Kravtsov's camp last year, if it were based strictly on that and no preferential treatment for Kakko based on being the 2nd overall pick, Kravtsov would've made the team over him.

His breakout pass led to another goal, I don't think he got credited with an assist though think he would've been the 3rd. My attention is divided between this game and the Apple Event so I'm not 100% sure
Just made another nice pass that could've been a tap in near the net

Gotta be smarter with the puck. Reminded me of the time he got benched in Hartford after turning over the puck similarly.

The guy is so damn noticeable. He creates a lot of chances.

I almost would be surprised if he doesn't make the team out of camp, depending on what we do in free agency.

If guys like Fast and McKegg aren't brought back I bet he makes the team.

It is increasingly clear that his confidence took a hit when he was sent down to Hartford with mixed communication. Now that he has had a chance to clear his head and get a fresh start to the season he seems back on track. Amazing what a little time away from the game and a chance to reflect can do for you. Same happened for Kakko.
