If even just half of our top prospects ‘hit’ we’re in incredibly good shape.
This rebuild is like butter.

Ahh...my bad. Print tends to hide humoreI was going along with your Geico commercial
Agreed. I wonder how he feels going from top winger prospect to behind Kakko and Laf.This kid very much seems to be back on track. Looks dangerous every time he’s out there. Looks to be comfortable in his frame. Looks like he lags taken what he’s learned from Hartford. he is poised to breakout and be back at the top of a lot of prospect lists.
Yeah. When we drafted him he was just what we needed. Now he’s looking a little redundant, even if he does pan out. But it would be a good problem to have, if it comes to that.Agreed. I wonder how he feels going from top winger prospect to behind Kakko and Laf.
Yeah he’s a beanpole20 lbs is an absolute minimum. Being a 6’4” and only 183 teenage lbs is a disadvantage in grown men’s hockey.

It’s a good question because I always look at how does a top guy get top player points? Well he’s gotta play top powerplay mins first. Usually you draft or acquire these young top prospects like Kakko Lafreniere Kravtsov Fox and your team is garbage so they get those mins. Our team has Zibanejad Panarin Kreider DeAngelo etc. so these kids don’t get those mins in those spots. Kravtsov does a lot of damage off the right wall on the pp Kakko as well. Neither will be on the top pp anytime soon. Not with Mika bread Kreids LAfrenyr here. Fox would have had similar numbers to makar or Hughes if not for a DeAngelo in front of him. I’m convinced of that.
So Kravtsov would struggle to even find second pp unit time with these guys. And I didn’t even mention Buchy or Strome. Or a Chytil.
now at even strength if Kreider moves over to accommodate Lafreniere Kravtsov is a third line player. So he won’t get those top 6 opportunities. Those offensive zone draws etc.
It’s a good problem to have for the org. Not so much for the player. What if he has a monster season is Russia which he seems primed to be ready for. He’s right back in the mix as a top nhl prospect.
Yeah PP time is a pretty interesting situation...
edit: and I'm not gonna advocate for him to be switched to center, I doubt the Rangers will do it or that they see him as a center, but it'd be a fascinating switch if they did and he could succeed there as a 2C
Providing that all are back, I am not sure that to start that Strome will be moved off what was one of the better power plays in the league. If it ain't broke......Yeah PP time is a pretty interesting situation...by default you would think this is PP1: Panarin-Zibanejad-Kreider/DeAngelo,Kakko/Lafreniere
If it ain't broke......
if DeAngelo is on the team you gotta think he gets PP1 duty.Future PP units if all goes according to plan
Panarin (left wall) - Zibanejad (bumper, between the dots) - Kakko (right wall)
Kreider (parked in front; screening) - Fox
Lafreniere (left wall, where he's comfortable) - Chytil (screen) - Kravtsov (right wall)
Strome (bumper, if still here) - DeAngelo/Lundkvist
Can you imagine if Strome is moved and that 2nd unit is Lundkvist and DeAngelo? God, the possibilities are endless.
Traktor is concluding its 3-game road trip today vs. Vityaz.
Kravtsov is staying in his 1LW spot, same as in the last game - win against Spartak.
