Kravtsov at age 18, 19 and 20 couldn't crack the line up unlike Lafrenière and Kakko
Mostly because of draft pedigree, I remember vividly all the staff & Rangers journalists raving about Kravtsov’s camp moreso than Kakko’s. If it was based on camp rather than draft pedigree I’d suspect Kravtsov makes the team over Kakko.

The biggest thing for me is Kakko & Laf were touted as being some of the most complete NHL ready prospects imaginable. And they’re putting up some of the worst performances in recent memory. Nobody (aside from maybe myself ;)) thought Kravtsov look this good in comparison to Laf/Kakko regardless of age

he's older than both of them...
Not by very much. And these are two of the “most NHL ready” prospects imaginable. Remember the draft on TV? “Room for improvement: None” LOL

Kravtsov was supposed to be the flashy boom bust guy who either cracked the top 6 or is incapable of playing defensive hockey. He’s way more engaged defensively and less afraid of going to dirty areas than Laf or Kakko. He has that killer instinct and hounds the puck as aggressively as anyone on our team

Dude your "I'm the smartest because Kravtsov gave me an erection years ago" shtick is weak.

Age matters tho the way Kakko is going his D+3 good chance hes putting up numbers and I'd be shocked if Laf isnt doing the same in his D+3. Moral of the story tho is Im glad we have all 3

Chytil was also like the youngest player of his draft
Kravtsov also looks way better than Chytil despite the massive difference in experience in North America

He was, but that doesn't change the fact that they're basically the same age.

Kravtsov could have had a year of NA experience under his belt too, but we remember how last year went. I'm glad hes made the necessary changes and looks like a new player, but I'm with @nyr2k2, the act is a bit obnoxious and ridiculous considering that Krav looked worse in the AHL last year (where he was older than both Kakko and Laf are right now) than either of them have looked in the NHL this year.

Eh, people gloat about much dumber things than being right about a prospect coming in and outplaying a 1st & 2nd overall pick, when MANY others wrote this prospect off as Andersson 2.0

I hope you self-flagellate the same way when you're wrong.

Honestly I hadn't seen you expressing much of an opinion about Kravtsov before today when I saw you in all the threads pumping your own tires. I mean I remember you predicting 23 points in 21 games or something, and I'm sure you were similarly hard before and I just tuned it out--I don't doubt your conviction. But, anyway, congratulations?

I’d be the first to make fun of myself when I’m wrong, that’s a very rare occurrence though :sarcasm:

I was calling Kravtsov the next Panarin and saying we should trade Hayes to pick him in 2018 (also predicted we’d take Kravtsov, Lundkvist & Miller LOL)
Draft Day Predictions

i
f you search my post history you’ll find many posts of me saying he’ll step in and dominate right away unlike Laf/Kakko

I’m not that big of a douchebag ok i speak in hyperbole a lot, I’m the same guy who thinks we’ll win every game 4,000-0

Kravtsov in his D-year or D+1 was nowhere close to Lafrenière or Kakko.

If he was, he would have been a top-3 pick his draft year.

There's nothing wrong with admitting that. Kravtsov being better at age 20-21 than Lafrenière at age 18-19 or Kakko at age 19-20 doesn't make him a better prospect. It just means he further along in his development. Chytil is also playing better some games than Lafrenière. I still wouldn't keep Chytil over him.

There's another guy who brags about being right about 1 prospect, to the point that he brags about it years later. Don't be like that guy. You had faith in Kravtsov, and that's great. Take the win. Don't go overboard.

You're gloating that our top two picks have been "putting up some of the worst performances in recent memory"? You are really an EdJovanovski opinion fan more than a Rangers fan.

Then stick to that rather than "hardi har har our top 2 prospects have had some of the worst performances in history but my guy looked better".
Yea I definitely didn’t mean it that way and I obviously hope all 3 terrorize the league for decades. Most people didn’t have doubts about Laf/Kakko, many did about Kravtsov. If Kravtsov improved that much over the past couple years then that should be good news for Laf/Kakko

Kravtsov is playing well, doing all the little things to keep himself in the lineup.

But I would hardly say he is “dominating” or playing significantly better than Laf/Kakko.
