I disagree. 5 minutes a game with 4th liners is just going to hurt his confidence before he gets a chance to play his actual roleYes. Get him in the lineup. Get him on the PWP. Enough with sitting, he’s not 18.

He wouldn’t be getting 5 minutes if he’s on one of the PWP units. Like I said he’ll be 22 in December so it’s not like a 18 year old that needs minutes elsewhere.I disagree. 5 minutes a game with 4th liners is just going to hurt his confidence before he gets a chance to play his actual role
Gaut really seems to have gotten the message and is driving the net better than anyone else on the team. Too often he is driving with no help and therefore the chaos he creates is not capitalized on, but he is creating havoc in a great way. He is doing Kreider better than Kreider at the moment.
You’re probably right though the thought is slipping further and further from reality.I think that the desire to make the playoffs starts at the very top with JD & Gorton.
I doubt he’s going to go from not playing in this league to the first PP. Not sure who he’d replace. Panarin is an animal and Strome is leading the team in points. PP2 typically gets almost no timeHe wouldn’t be getting 5 minutes if he’s on one of the PWP units. Like I said he’ll be 22 in December so it’s not like a 18 year old that needs minutes elsewhere.

PDG can’t be gone soon enough. VK needs to play instead of Quinn’s scramble for the playoffs that won’t be happening.
I want VK, Barron (when feasible) and Tarmo getting NHL minutes. Enough with the waiver wire fill ins.
First PP is sometimes staying out past the point of having fresh legs.I doubt he’s going to go from not playing in this league to the first PP. Not sure who he’d replace. Panarin is an animal and Strome is leading the team in points. PP2 typically gets almost no time
I don’t disagree, just saying that time on the second unit isn’t going to amount to much the way it’s been goingFirst PP is sometimes staying out past the point of having fresh legs.
How so?This. Muckler is the single worst coach this team has had since probably the 60s. John Muckler single-handedly ruined Stefan Cherneski as well.
I don’t mind VK starting on the 4th line. If it’s Goat “blocking” him, Quinn has no problem moving him down or even out.Why PDG has to be gone instead of being in the rotation on the 4th line? As far as Kravtsov's concerned it's Gauthier (who'd go into 4th line rotation) who's more directly "blocking" him as 3RW.

As far as PDG is concerned, if this isn’t a playoff team, I want prospects over journeymen getting looks for the duration.

I'm not sure how you figure this. Stefan Cherneski shattered his kneecap in Hartford and could never recover from the injury. He would have had a long successful career with the RangersThis. I think he meant Malhotra, and there's some truth to that. Iirc he'd have him do skating and conditioning drills endlessly instead of like skill work. Didn't want him on the roster and was a baby about it.I'm not sure how you figure this. Stefan Cherneski shattered his kneecap in Hartford and could never recover from the injury. It sure sounds like Barron will be up at some point. He’s putting up numbers? I want to see him with the big club. PDG does nothing for now or the future.Outside of VK, the only forward prospects that fits this description is Barron and we don't know if he's in line for promotion this season, playoff run or not. IMO PDG is not blocking anyone.
It was Brent Fedyk. The rest is history.I think he means that Cherneski should have made the team out of camp. But Muckler wanted to keep Brent fedyk or someone like that I can’t remember anymore. Cherneski never should have been in Hartford to start the year.
Which is fine with me except the Seattle exposure part. I protect Goat easily over Howden. If Kravtsov plays he slides into 3RD RW.
Gauthier rotates on the 4th. Gauthier is pretty much a goner once the Kraken get a shot to take him.
Laf Chytil Krav will be where he gets his first looks this year.
I think we, in general, knock the fourth line intro a bit too harshly. Playing a guy 8-10 mins on the fourth line is - to me, at least - a totally reasonable and smart way to break a guy into the lineup. It’s not ideal, long term, for development, I suppose. Fourth liners are often used as spare parts on other lines and on special teams too.Do you want VK on the fourth line? Those fill ins are taking 4th line time with 4th line players. That’s not a place for VK
Didn't help when down the stretch run he had Graves manning the point on the PP... I mean that one was pure stupidity or temper tantrum but either way it should've never happened.I think he meant Malhotra, and there's some truth to that. Iirc he'd have him do skating and conditioning drills endlessly instead of like skill work. Didn't want him on the roster and was a baby about it.
