Great news Traktor takes game 1 and VK contributing. Go as far as possible Traktor! Would be tremendous for VK vs coming over here right now

Kravtsov reminds me a lot of like a Jamie Benn/Jakub Voracek hybrid. Benn’s size and ability to play physical and around the goal (if Kravtsov wants) while possessing the hands and playmaking of a Voracek.

Some uh..questionable goaltending there but good for VK. Hopefully will be an awesome experience for him.

What's more promising is the release in stride. The moment he releases the puck is when his feet stop moving, makes it hard for the goaltender to anticipate the shot. Regardless of whether the goalie saves that or not, that makes it a harder shot to save.

I didn't know Kravstov had that speed to his game. He is definitely in the "slow the game/pace" down type of player like Panarin is, Panarin keeps his speed in his back pocket too.

Wow if this were the case he would be the best player in the league. I'm just hoping he is better than Buchnevich.

Buchnevich scores at a 50-point pace. I am optimistic Kakko will do that, and not as optimistic but still hopeful Kravtsov will do that, but until we see something close to that from either, I wouldn't just walk away from Buch. If you can re-sign him to a reasonable extension, I think you absolutely do it. If he continues to produce at his normal rate, he should be very moveable if not highly desirable. I'd hate to have him walk and Kakko becomes like a 35-point guy and Kravtsov busts or something.

No. But what does it matter when we are talking about when prospects usually start to take meaningful steps forward in production?
It matters because Buch is not the only forward who could be moved/demoted to make room for VK. I think people compare them because of their shared nationality.

I don't think we have another choice.

They are both playmaking RW. We already have Kakko, I've been saying it for years, there isn't room for Kravtsov and Buch, 1 will be dealt unless we are moving Kakko which I don't see happening.

I'm sorry, but whaaaat? Who cares about their nationality? They could both be Martians for all I care. They are compared because one is the hopeful heir to the other. They are also discussed in the same sentence because some believe that one is expendable because the other exists.

The rangers should trade Buch and it has nothing to do with Kakko or Krav.

especially Krav since hopefully he gets a shot down the middle.
This always comes up as well. CAN Kravsov make it as a center? Sure, he CAN. WILL this transition happen? Magic 8 ball says more than likely not.

If we don't end up using Buch in a package for a center then I'd be fine with extending him- but please no NMC attached. I'd be willing to pay a more, or give more years to have the OPTION to trade the guy while still in his prime if it becomes necessary.

I would look to trade buch while his value is high right now. he’s a really good middle 6 guy being disguised as a top 6 guy. he’s a success story as a 3rd rounder. see if you can turn him into something greater or a greater positional need.

Krav could be the top 6 RW with Kakko.

If Kakko is a 35 point guy long-term, I think the organization is in a bad enough spot where it doesn't matter that much if we have Buchnevich, an okay futures return, or nothing at all. In the better-case scenarios, it's too much cap space for wingers.

Krav's size plus the way he skates and shifts his weight - looks like the type of player the Kings always get and the Rangers never have.
