Yeah you would be fine. You'll be in a crowd of other pedestrians walking to/from the game.

Oh yeah, no worries about that. Stay on 12th ave as you walk to McLeod Trail. I'd normally have no problem taking any route, but to ease any concerns you have, stay on the main roads. will be a 10 minute walk to the Dome. Great area you're in too.

Are there any really long staircases for workouts somewhere in the city? Or is Mcmahon stadium ever open to workout on those stairs?

Next September I'm going to be moving to Calgary and I couldn't be more excited about it :)

Hey fellas. I wanna watch MNF somewhere tomorrow night, WITH volume. The Jays game is on at the same time. Anyone know where I could go? Somewhere that would prioritize football over baseball/Jays? Preferably in the SE, or if not downtown.

Good one

I was hoping for a serious suggestion lol, not a place that is within walking distance of my house in my own city

Locations, food type and dollar values?

I can name half a dozen 'you should eat here' places that may price their way out of some folks' wallets though, we all can't be ballers ;)

Some good restaurants are:
- Anejo in Mission (Mexican)
- NOtaBLE in Bowness
- Charbar downtown
- River Cafe on Prince's Island Park
- Cibo on 17th (pizza & pasta).

For cheaper fast food, check out:
- Peter's Drive-In on the Transcanada (a must)
- Koob in Mission (kebab wraps - my favorite!)
- Tubby Dog on 17th.
- A number of food trucks around the city. Check out @YYCFoodTrucks

For nightlife, you pretty much have your choice of Irish Pub or Beer Hall. Top places would be:
- Craft on 10th ave SW
- National on 17th ave, 10th ave (the biggest and most popular) and Stephen Ave (probably best rooftop patio in the city)
- Local on Stephen Ave
- Ship and Anchor on 17th (go to pub)
- Rose & Crown on 17th.
- Wurst in Mission (German beer hall)
Quoted from my previous response on the prior page. Even the beer halls will have something decent to eat to go with the atmosphere. Deep fried dill pickles at National are great, as are their mini burgers!

For HIGH quality Alberta beef, you can't beat Wellingtons in the south end of Calgary.
They have been open in the same location for 36 years and have an excellent menu.
The restaurant is a 15 minute walk (if you're slow) NE of the Anderson LRT station.

This is a place I've always wanted to try but recent reviews are not nearly as glowing since they had a management change
