You don't get to order it up like a steak in a restaurant. Scoring early and getting a lead will always be important for us.

Ive watched alot of playoff hockey dont really see it. The Pens and Caps was great and exciting. Tampa blew the Bruins defensive system out of the water that was exciting (and I hate tampa!).

We shouldnt need to score first to have a chance to win the game. The system is kicking Pomo's ass.

Power play entry looked awful in 1st. Needed to pot one to get the guys going. Energy killer.

They looked like the lazy river heading up ice. I’m pretty sure I could have stopped them.

I think the lack of experience showed in game 4 and 6. They didn't come out like they usually do at home. Hopefully they learned from it and with their backs against the wall come out like they can in game 7.

It's always surprising to me that people think the Jets **** the bed. Sure there are games where they **** the bed, but you forget that this is no slouch they are facing. That was some of the best defensive hockey I've seen in a while, the Preds on the PK were absolutely relentless. The Jets just couldn't move the puck around them tonight. Zero time, zero space. Game could have been much different had Statsny put it in an open net or some of the other looks early in the game. Hate to say it on a Jets forum because I'm a die hard fan but the Preds were the better team in that game no question. Jets are going to have to dig up a new kind of effort on Wednesday.

I don't think the Jets shit the bed entirely, they definitely had their chances. I just don't think the effort was there to fight for rebounds or going into the corners. They'd get a rush, get their chance and then Rinne would either cover it or it'd be going the other way. There was only 2 instances of sustained 5v5 pressure (that I can remember) and I think the Jets only had 1 SOG on the first one.

The PP was just a mess, there was one entry where Scheifele got it deep into the corner and Laine was drifting down into the top of the short side circle while Scheifele was in the corner with 3 Predators, the Preds got possession and dumped it out. On the first PP when Laine couldn't keep it in at the blueline he threw his head back, you could definitely tell he wasn't feeling great early on.

I'd like to see Morrow in for Chiarot. The Jets need better passing beyond 3-5 feet chips to beat the trap coverage through the neutral zone. And if the Jets consider Morrow to be the closest thing to Enstrom that they have that's a plus because of how much better Enstrom-Myers looked than Chiarot-Myers.

Enstrom needs to go in the PB. He's playing so bad, that I think one of the fourth liners would be a better replacement. But I think Joe Morrow should be in, although I do think we win in Nashville.

Doesn't mean I'm mad though...

So much this. Does every other board stamp their feet, pout and cry with every little playoff setback? In all honesty we show far more inexperience with the highs and lows of a playoff run then the players everyone can't criticize enough. Which successful team has never faced a game 7? This series is a coin flip at this point.

Good post Bogo and I agree -- either we're a championship team or we're not. We'll see what kind of poise and character this young Jet's team has ??

If we're going to be a "real contender"--now or in the future, we're going to have to learn how to win these hi-pressure games.( like a Game 7)

I wouldn't say this next game is a 50-50 coin toss--I'd say it's 55% in favor of the Preds and 45 % for the Jets -- "but we can win this, if we dig down really deep."

Our young guys look a little tight -- they need to loosen up and start to score--Laine / Ehlers etc.

I bashed Enstrom for years and stopped when I came to appreciate his game and other posters helped me with that. I was at the game tonight and thought he played very well.

Over achieving makes the losses harder to take, nobody expected this team to get to this point at the beginning of this season, most hoped for the playoffs maybe a series win, but the ball got rolling and look where the Jets are, a 50/50 chance to advance into the 3rd round.

They can say the same. They shouldn't have to score first to win, but that is the way it has played out. This whole series has bounced back and forth teams trading games with each team adapting to the other and we are tied 3-3 going into game 7 but somehow Maurice is getting his ass kicked?

Hopefully Nashville tries to please the home catfish crowd and doesn't play this good defensively because they want to score instead . Jets have to get a lead so Nashville opens up , it's our best chance at winning .

What bothers me the most is that every single team that plays a deep 1-4 for longer then the last 10mins of a game usually gets spanked. And for some reason we cant figure it out. Thats an embarrassment in coaching. I understand if we didnt have the speed or the talent but we have everything we need to smash that style of hockey in spades.

Yeah, the Bruins under Julien had no success with a 1-4......

And the Preds were mainly playing 1-3-1 anyway.

Jets lost too many board battles tonight. The Preds puck support was much better than the Jets tonight, quicker and tighter.
