I only hope that Nolan would be able to do that to Hanzal. If any player on the Coyotes deserves to be knocked out, it's that piece of ****. The sneaky ******* has targeted the head on his hits numerous times, he's done it to Richards, Brown, Kopitar as well. Someday somebody will catch him.

There it is, NHL Safety just posted it.

It was a solid open ice hit. I was expecting something much different with all the talk [ all though mostly coming from PHX reporters] of Nolan launching into him like superman into the hit. Some even compared it to the Torres hit which is outright laughable.

Biz Nasty gets 10 games and his first game back will be against the Kings.

With THAT video being released, I can't believe that there are still Coyote fans saying that was the same as the Torres hit on Hossa :shakehead Sucks that Klesla got hurt, but that was a fantastic hit

Wow, I was expecting it to be far far worse. The injury is just unfortunate, but what can you do, that's a great opportunity for a hit.

I was expecting a totally different hit... something suspendable.

For any Coyotes or Sharks fans comparing this hit w/ the Torres hit on Stoll:

Nihilists! I mean, say what you like about the tenets of National Socialism, Dude, at least it's an ethos.

I understand there is going to be a certain level of homerism with this type of stuff, but that's just insane

to be fair to Coyote fans, they way the hit was described to them made them mad. Many after seeing the video agree that it was not what they were lead to believe. There will always be a few that think the NHL is out to get them but several have admitted that it was a good hit.

That was a beauty of a hit, reading twitter they made it sound like he decapitated klesla

ROFL, that's it? Wow. **** the Coyotes journalists. What a joke.

It's a really dirty, ugly rivalry and I love it...and I hope Klesla is fine...but their fans need to stop pretending they're just victims of the big, bad Kings when they've got dickbags like Hanzal, Morris, and Doan running around. The brutality goes both ways.

Not seeing the vid all day was weird - I assumed it was a border line-to-probably-illegal hit. It was nothing of the kind. Just a skate-clearing upper body hit that did not target the head.

Awesome hit Nolan!

Great hit, devastating impact, thought it would be very dirty but after seeing the video it was just a great hockey hit.

You forgot Smith.

Nice hit

I had to youtube the Torres hit on Hossa to compare and my initial thought was that it was pretty similar and that i could see why coyote fans were pissed at the inconsistency. Then I watched it a bit closer and its blatantly obvious that Torres Jumps into Hossa, crystal clear that he leaves his feet before the hit while Nolan does after the hit, its not the same at all.

Cryotes gonna Cryote.

****ing hate that team, I will make a game in PHX this year to watch the Kings destroy them and laugh my way out of the "Jobing" arena.

Cryotes gonna cry...
Nothing new there.

That was a damn fine clean hit that resulted in unfortunate injury.
Like Don Cherry would say: "Kids, keep your heads up!!!"

watching hte video, i felt that it should have been a suspension. you see klesla's head whip back as the first point of contact before his chest connects. if that happened to stoll or brown, i'd want their player to be suspended too.

good for us that Nolan didn't get suspended, we don't need any players with that history

Just because Klesla's head whips back doesn't mean it was a dirty hit. A player's head can whip back from a clean hit, which Nolan's was.

If anything, Klesla might want to get his peripheral vision tested.

i undersrand the Shanahan explanation. I think there's just a difference between first and principal point of contact. I think the league is tryign to get rid of the principal. in this scenario, i think the head was the first point of contact, while the chest was principal. I still wouldn't have objected had Nolan got a suspension because, like i said, the head whipped violently and it sure looked bad. that and i dont think any hockey player should have to fight the effects of a concussion, so i hope Klesla gets better soon.
