Speculation: Video leak that Seattle has selected Kerfoot circulating twitter

This seems likely, but Seattle could have done multiple takes and only this one leaked. For example, they could have one with Dermott being the pick or McCann, etc. I believe the Sens did multiple for Alex Trebek taking Stutzle because of the variables involved.

I lived right next to the market when I was in Seattle. Shopped there all the time but never had someone throw me a fish. It was a madhouse on Saturday mornings. Ah, the days when people went outside...

Yeah I gotta lean towards this being the actual pick being recorded.

1. Picks are due tommorrow morning at 9am. They likely have most of them locked in already

2. If they were doing ALL their picks via fish-tossing, then it would make sense for them to be running a bunch of test cuts. But seems like they're only doing one pick via fish-tossing.

3. Since they're doing picks in a whole bunch of different ways with different celebs, it only makes sense that they're pre-recording all the picks, not doing them all live.

4. Since they're only doing one pick this way and all of them are being pre-recorded, it only makes sense for them to do the one fish-tossing pick in one recording session, and doesn't make sense to use dummy names.

5. conclusion - they're picking kerf.

I feel like the Kerfoot pick was decided a long time ago based on a lot of different factors. Considering there's only 1 leak yet, they might have started off with the Leafs since it's already in the bag about Kerfoot.

I mean, is it that you think that their GM is as our to lunch as is ours, or is it that you think Kerfoot would be a smart choice by any GM to take from our unprotected list?

Seeing as I don’t share your thoughts on your first thought. So we’ll go with the latter. I think hakstol and Francis see value in Kerfoot just like most intelligent hockey people do.
it’s the small town dusters and puckmagnon mouth breathers who still think hockey is just 5v5 ice brawl that don’t see value in a chippy two way Swiss Army knife.

It’s the first week of the offseason. Aside from like 4 teams that’s prettty much the case for everyone.

Why wouldn't he be pretty positive about it? He's going to a team that has a better chance at a Stanley Cup than the one he's being plucked from, and I'm talking about starting next year

Essentially need a top 6 LW and a goaltender. If there's money left maybe another bottom 6 center. The rest of the holes are likely filled internally (Robertson, Anderson, Sandin, Liljegren, etc).
