Yes and no. There's a huge learning curve, and you'll lose a lot of settlements for sure. It's definitely really hard to fully build up and defend a kingdom over a long period of time. But at the same time, a lot of it is pretty casual, at least in the early game which is all I'm familiar with. You can pause things, and you're mostly issuing orders to your workers, planning production, developing your colony, etc. So it can be laid back in a sense. But things can go off the rails and spiral out of control if you're not careful, so it's challenging tooIs it hard?
