OT: Video Game Thread Part VIII

I’ve played up to the opening scene with the wolves, and on my new laptop it’s gorgeous. Are there any must have mods that won’t ruin the first play thru experience?

I liked Red Dead Revolver, then they went full open world for Redemption and everything became a repetitive chore for me. I spent more time playing Texas Hold 'Em than the main game.

Rockstar is releasing Red Dead Redemption again as a PS4 and Switch port only. It’s $49.99. That’s a big ask for a game that hasn’t been remade and/or remastered. I’ll wait until a Black Friday sale or something lol
 
Either RDR2 is very unforgiving or I’m bad at it. I have died in all sorts of manner. Kicked by a horse while rooting thru it’s saddle bags. Clipped by a stagecoach that was stationary while I tried to removed the driver that had a hole in his head, spooking the horses causing said clipping.
Bounty hunters spawned on top of me after completing a mission. Mailed by wolves and cougars.

That’s a possibility. Another is that I am in fact playing it right.

Probably not though as I’ve done maybe three missions so far and have been avoiding the others to fart around.
My various forms of demise seemly occur shortly after pulling some form of banditry.

oh it is a great game to just screw around in...just have to decide which chapter to start all that in
 
I have a $300 bounty I’m struggling to earn a Pugh to pay off. This is most of my ongoing issue with dying right now.
 
Paid it off by hijacking carriages just outside the fence. That was far easier than it should have been.
 
i've been playing so much BG3 the last few days..that I went in to play a different game and couldn't do anything because all the controls were wrong..my mind is stuck on the BG3 controls lol

RDR has so many hilarious bugs. I experienced the hopping one-horse carts that could end up shooting off into the atmosphere. There were ridable horse lady hybrids, men flapping around in the sky like birds, a fox carrying a gun, so many.

I may or may not have racked up a new $300 bar tab, I mean bounty. The Pinkertons, the f***s, are after me. I’ve ran horse head first into a damn tree, and I’ve got $12 to my name.
