I’m not even sure I want to fight Gna at this point. I’ve heard she’s significantly more challenging than Hrolf. I’m all for defeating tough bosses (the joy of victory can be sweet) but I’m not sure if the juice is worth the squeeze at this point. These two boss fights are the only things I need to for 100% completion of this game. But yeah, I tried fighting Gna before I was up to level 9 with everything and that was hilariously hard. 3 or 4 hits (even after using a resurrection stone) she killed me with.

I’ve gotten him down to 5% health about 5 times and he just destroys me. Just watched a video on how to beat him because I have to beat him. Smashing him with your shield apparently disrupts a bunch of his attacks and spear jabbing the f*** out of him is how this dude defeated him. I’ve put enough time into it this fight that once I beat him a primal scream is going to be unleashed lol.

I don't think I ever used the spear. I think I did the shield bash though.

In other PS news, they're finally porting Tomba!!! This is what I played while high on Oxy after my wisdom teeth were pulled. This may be the best non-Mario platformers I ever played. Still have the original PS1 disk.

I beat them both on post-surgery drugs. I credit the drugs. For Gna the hardest thing for me was seeing what she was doing against the background. Maybe that helped though, I didn't have a chance to think.

And just for posterity, I’m hitting mid .300’s with JRam, but he’s supremely short and thick.

Speaking of EA, I played NHL for the first time in a while last night and what a shitshow that game is.

Was the ending good? I got maybe halfway through and after exploring Hogwarts the game just felt extremely repetitive.

it wrapped up nicely..but i do admit one fight..i had to bump down the difficulty cause I was getting wrecked..

other than that it wraps up well enough but its clear they are leaving things for a sequel...and in all honesty..since you are only a 5th year it should be with the same character..but who knows

Strike zone. When Randy is pitching I simply cannot tell if low fastballs are going to be strikes at all. (Or if they’re a splitter even)

That's why I switched to strike zone high (Bob Gibson's changeup was killing me too).

On Strike Zone, there'a weird angle for short hitters like JRam, Albies, Altuve, etc.

You know what card sucks and shouldn’t? That Corbin Carroll. Absolutely horrendous swing.

I have like 12 ABs with 7 HRs lol. Small sample! I know what you mean though -- his swing plane looks flat. Combine that with a balanced tendency. The bat speed feel on Acuña vs. Corbin isn't close.

I hit dingers only with JRam; his only issue is in co-op his lefty contact is a bit low on HoF, which you can't boost. And his clutch could be higher. But I'm a Short King in this game.

An underrated card still? Josh Donaldson. Elite tier swing, lefty killer. I have Riley at 1B (I hit well with him), but my friend puts in Donaldson in co-op, and it's Nuketown.

I either pop up/out or hit a nuke. No in between. He's great in the OF though so I tend to hit him 9th and pinch hit if I need to. Maybe I need to use him more, since the more you get to know a swing the better a guy feels (that Piazza card is terrible but I was starting to hit with him by the end of that conquest grind lol). No quirks either. There are so few guys that play above their stats without quirks. I hate they don't give these cards quirks.

The reason I say he sucks is everyone that has him in their lineup has an ugly slash line with him. That's usually the test.

Yeah he does have some sneaky stats. We're usually facing Randy or Donaldson so I don't bother putting him in.

That Riley card is really good and that's coming from someone that can't hit with his Gold card in BR.

For the record, I have never failed to qualify for weekend league. Even in the very beginning.

I’d also like to make sure the record shows that I’ve been playing FIFA online for a grand total of 4 months and I’m already consistently getting 10 or more wins in weekend league. I’m developing quicker than a Tortorella coached prospect.
