I'm sure we have all seen the new MGS remake and collection coming out. As a huge MGS fan myself, and if anyone else is as well, we know that Hideo Kojima has a flare for the dramatic and secrets and big reveals. While I know it is almost 100% not likely, does anyone else think there is a chance that Kojima is either involved in the remake or that it isn't a remake at all but a new game entirely? Wishful thinking, I know, but still! If anyone could pull this off it would be Kojima. I know they had a huge falling out during MGSV and it seems likely that they are done forever, and Konami flat out said he wasn't involved, but that makes it more of a possibility to me and my tinfoil hat. Anyone else get that vibe?

Am I the only one playing Diablo?

Is it good? You playing it on PC, PS5, or Xbox? I’m considering getting it for PS5 at some point. I’ve got a lot of games downloaded recently through my PS Plus Premium Subscription to play first though.

I’m enjoying it. On pc, game has cross play so it doesn’t matter what you’re on you can pay with whomever you want.
It’s got a cool monster leveling feature that somehow lets anyone of any level play together, have the mobs level to the both of them on the fly, and give out class and level appropriate loot.

Have about 50 hours into Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous.

Really enjoying the story (moreso than DOS:II) and the fact that there are a lot of battles. I play in turn-based mode, and at Level 7-ish it's starting to get more fun because there are more options.

Biggest challenge is Camellia at this point. She just doesn't do anything other than unlock doors and chests. Her damage output is so low and her casting is just meh.

Should I respec her into something else, or keep up the Shaman route? What's the best way to use her, especially for non-magic damage output? The rapier is awful so far.

If it makes a difference, my main character is a crossblooded Sorcerer, so I really only have Regill and Seelah as my melee characters so far.

I am. Game rules.
Let’s clan up. Is there any purpose to clans other than saying you’re in a clan?
I’m digging this arc lash sorcerer build. I haven’t touched sorcerer on Diablo since the first one.

Any early favourite classes in D4?
Arc lash sorcerer.
Werewolf Druid, but I stopped playing that at 17 to make my sorcerer(35).

I'm already clanned. Suck it.

I'm doing summon necromancer. At least for that class, there's way more build options than D2. Which is nice coming off D3, where you basically had one build option per class every season.

I’m so disappointed in this remake. Each “chapter” is going to be on a different system at this rate.

Its going to be 3 chapters total. The story was too big to do it justice in one game. Would have been rushed. I love that they are digging even deeper and expanding on everything and i'm willing to wait. A 50 hour remake of the original would have been disappointing. I can just play the original for that experience.

There are 3 reasons the gap between Parts 1 and 2 will end up at nearly 4 years. Reason 1 is covid, which dramatically slowed development in 2020 and 2021. Reason 2 is the transition from PS4 to PS5. Reason 3 is they are also developing FF16. None of those issues should be present going forward so I expect Part 3 to be released a lot quicker than it took them to make 2. I would be happy with 3 coming out two years after 2.

They also gave us the Intergrade DLC, giving Yuffie a back story and introducing even deeper battle mechanics. That was really fun.

Anywho, I dont care how long it takes since I never thought it would happen to begin with. I waited 23 years between the Original and Remake Part 1 lol.

Diablo/PoE people - are there any similar games out there that are cheaper/free and a good introduction to the genre? I don't really want to drop $70 for Diablo IV and PoE seems very complicated but looking for something to play to see how much I enjoy these types of games.

This Final Fantasy 16 Demo is pretty impressive. Might even buy the game (at some point).
