OT: Video Game Thread Part VII

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. It's gonna be a virtual conference. So like how Nintendo started it with their Nintendo Direct, every big publisher is probably gonna have some pre recorded video to show.

Gave everyone else one star as a handicap (Clearly I'm the most experienced Mario Party player in the friend group). I get f***ed hard by people using Boo to steal my coins and got blasted with Bowser's Satellite laser on Space Land to lose all my coins at the time. Mount a furious comeback but I get f***ed cause I got a cursed dice used on me and couldn't make it to Boo in time to steal a star. Had to sack that plan and use a Golden Warp Pipe to buy two stars on the 29th turn (redeemed my Double Star card). Bonus stars don't break my way outside of the Minigame star. Ended up 3rd overall but it was a close game.

TLDR would've won if I f***ing rolled high enough to make it to Boo in time to steal a star but got f***ed.

I've been playing 12 Minutes this week. A mixed bag. Some very clever story writing, some maddeningly illogical steps paired with a huge amount of repetition but it rewards you as much as it frustrates.

The ending in particular is brave to say the least.

@Chinatown88 One of my EVGA queues popped. I signed up less than 10 Minutes after the queue went live over a year ago. :laugh:

Jealous, I have much longer to wait. I've been trying for almost any 3060 or 3070 for months now but I refuse to pay the scalpers $800+ for a 3060. Four tabs of nowinstock.net, newegg shuffle, and refreshing bestbuy haven't worked yet.

This is the 8th GPU I've gotten. Best Buy is the way to go. Tomorrow is actually a good bet for the next set. If not, Friday. Here's a spreadsheet of the Best Buy timings (Eastern Time) that helped me quite a bit in knowing when to be around.



If you're local to the Philadelphia area, I can add you to my list, but you'd currently be fifth for a 3070 and 3rd for a 3060. For the record, all were used by me or given to friends at cost.

Thanks for that data, very helpful. I've been learning through trial and error and got pretty close. I had my calendar marked for today and started checking around 10am but tomorrow does seem to be the day. Nothing popped up today at all. Last two drops I keep getting stuck in the loop of verifying my account and checking stock even if I catch them immediately. I read the bestbuy app was more successful. Do you use the app or a browser? Or both?
I appreciate the offer but I'm not in a rush. I can limp along on the Intel integrated graphics for a while since everything I'm playing right now is not graphics heavy.
 
Did anyone who played the last God of War actually kill all the Valkyries? I have the last one in Niflheim left but I need all that mistproofing shit still. That whole area is going to be a grinding pain. It's bad enough I don't have enough materials to completely upgrade my Fallen Ash armor even after going through three of the Impossible Challenges and getting Silver in the final time trial.

Open as many browsers as possible on both computer and your phone along with the App.

Yup, Niflheim is a giant pain in the ass grind. Just need to keep doing counterclockwise loops around the arena a couple dozen times or so to get the mist. Fallen Ash armor is a grind too, but I think I got lucky with gold on the final time trial. I had a blast playing that game.
