I forget the name but I think it shares its name with a computer game that is completely different than the sega cd one.

I played a metric ton of Dune 2. Is that the one you mean?

The new one is made by the developers of Northgard, which is a pretty decent game.

EDIT: There seems to a free clone of Dune 2 in the android store.

Damnit I don't have time for this lol.

It'll be 75% off at some point. I'll snag it then. My PC gaming time will be spent slowly learning how to fly my F-86. This morning I learned how to start it, and also how to careen forward across the airfield until I crash and burst into flames. Progress!

Isn't Dune 2 the game that kinda invented RTS, but C&C gets the credit? I think Westwood did both and C&C was pretty much built on top of Dune.

Westwood went on an absolute tear for a decade.

Yeah, that's the one. Dune 2 came out in 1992 and C&C was in 1995, both by Westwood.

You're right about EA. It kinda ruined their momentum.

Red Alert was definitely my fave in the series. Taking out my friend's power plants with my fleet of MIGs was so satisfying. And who can forget Tanya?

Red Alert 2 was elite.

Red Alert 2 was elite.

Right smack in the middle of the golden age of RTS games.

Red Alert 2, Warcraft 2, StarCraft 1 & 2, Age of Empires II.

Any modern RTS games like those? Northgard is cool, but it feels a bit more of a hybrid between RTS and Civ-style. Haven't tried Age of Empires IV.

Remember Lords of the Realm II? Man I LOVED that game. Turn-based map movement, RTS style massive battles and sieges. Big precursor to the Total War series later on.

Man, this f***ing controller for the ps5 is bonkers.

Back in my day getting a rumble pack for your n64 was a pretty big deal.

Now, I can actually feel my character walking through the snow in astros playroom and I feel the jerk of the car changing gears while driving around in cyberpunk.

f***ing wild stuff boys and girls.

Did you get the feel for it in Apex yet? I don't know how it's different in terms of look/aim, but it is, and once you get it down it's way better than PS4. It's like there's two zones or something, a more precise zone when you're making smaller looks and a faster zone when you move the stick more.

PS4 had scaling for how much you moved the stick, but it's just way better on PS5 once you get it.

That Astro game is fun as hell for a preloaded free game. Definitely shows you what the controller can do too.

You guys play Apex Legends? Everyone take note, these guys know what's up.

The Aho plays Apex. I loot boxes until I realize everyone is gone a mile away, then I scramble to catch up before landing 3 shots and dying. I'm not sure that counts as playing.

I exist in Apex.
Add this to the list of reasons I like that guy.

@Surrounded By Ahos Make sure you download the PS5 version of Apex (along with other games if available). PS makes it tricky, but if you hover over the game on your home screen it will say PS4 or PS5. The differences in Apex are minor for now, but they will be adding more stuff in the near future supposedly.

I still can’t get used to the triggers. Having what feels like resistance when I’m not expecting it makes me think they are caught on the plastic housing and that they’ll break

Yeah, I’m getting there. It was just different enough to throw me off, but I’m almost used to it now.

Yeah I downloaded the old version of destiny at first. Booted it up and was thinking it didn’t look that different before I realized I had the wrong one
