Lots of good deals on the PlayStation store right now, so I finally pulled the trigger on Stellar Blade. I remember being impressed (but not blown away) by the demo, but the full game has been a blast so far. Great visuals, even better music and the combat gets to be really satisfying after you start to match the proper timing of combos, parries and dodges. There's also a pretty good variety in terms of playstyles and "builds" as far as pure action games go. Imagine Bayonetta with exploration and open-world elements and you've pretty much got Stellar Blade.

The platforming sections leave a lot to be desired, which seems to be the inevitable curse of many third-person action games for whatever reason, but it's not enough to deter me from exploring. The unapologetic amount of titties and ass don't hurt, either.

I also really appreciated the respawn points for boss fights and certain missions. Not having to trek all the way back from the last "bonfire" was a nice quality of life touch.

I was this many days old when I realized that Karen Carpenter was one of the first hard rock drummers....

Well, they finally got announced. 2 grand is an insane price.

Really wish the 5070 would come with 16gb, would be a slam dunk. Waiting for the 5070 Ti to drop in price then. My 3070 is still running solid.

Finally just finished legend of zelda tears of the kingdom.. Man what a game that was.

Started on star wars outlaws for ps5... It's ok so far.. Nothing wild

Twice as powerful as the 4090. I wonder what power supply it will need like at least 1000W or 1200W probably. The price is high but it should be good for at least the next 4-5 years.
My issue is that it's all AI power. If you turn off the upscaling features, it'll only run Alan Wake 2 at 50fps. It just feels like since the 1080, graphics cards have been stagnant.

2024 wasn’t all that great for me. Indiana Jones was my Goty not much competition. 2025 however…

Doom
Avowed
Fable
TES IV remaster (mod or official version)
MGS 3 Delta

I’d say GTA VI but we all know it’s getting delayed and R* might do their usual late PC port BS.

Whatever Nintendo cooks with Switch 2 but I’m not expecting a BotW/Odyssey type combo this go round.

Only got into Cyberpunk 2077 a few months ago, and apparently it's good that I experience the game now when it's pretty much fixed, the DLC is out and there's a good bunch of mods out there as well. Haven't enjoyed a particular video game this much since the first Mass Effect was released.

Hoping that modders can eventually add some more story related content as well, seeing that the developers are apparently starting to move on.

Veilguard sold so badly that Bioware is shutting down Bioware Edmonton and the lead director of Veilguard "left" Bioware. It's sad to see these once great studios turn out absolute shit, destroy established franchises and shut down. These studios have hundreds of millions of dollars to work with. Surely they can do some surveys to see what gamers actually want.... Right?
