It’s really when the most absurd task is handed to me and I’m like… same, same, but different.
I started a BAP character and put it on rookie difficulty since I haven't played since NHL 15. I won the cup the first 2 seasons with the Islanders, demanded a trade in my final year of the contract and got dumped to the Canucks. I started bumping up the difficulty every season afterwards. I won the cup with the Canucks once but not after I got to the 2nd hardest difficulty. I stayed on the Canucks for a while, but my player got injured in the WCF against the Avs when Byram checked me into the boards and I was out the rest of the playoffs.
Last year I had 40 something year old Ovi on my line and he had like 60 goals (I sim most of the season). We cruised through the playoffs and got swept in the finals by Boston. Girard was their captain and their top pairing was Toews-Girard. Was embarrassing. Demanded a trade the next season and I got dumped back to the Islanders but I won the cup again against the Wild. Rants was their captain.
It was crazy seeing how much player movement in that game. What do they think it's the NBA or something?

There's a trophy in the game for winning the CHL so I started my career with Belfast assuming I'd get to then pick my NHL team... nope, drafted by Chicago. Well I'll just start again on the Avalanche thanks. I think I'm at 50 points in 15 games in my first season on the top pairing. At least my quest to beat Gretzky's totals will be quick.
The last NHL game I played was 09. I'm pretty sure that was the first year Be a Pro was in the game and they may have been a bit optimistic with the players moving around. I think they acquired a bunch of defensemen to try and supplant me, to the point where Matthias Ohlund was in the minors while Chris Kelly was the first line centre between Wolski and Hejduk. We ended up getting Marc Savard as the only half-decent forward.
I'm not a Warhammer 40k guy at all, but Boltgun is a fantastic boomer shooter. Hits that Doom itch perfectly.

Update: yeah Stormveil Castle is no effin joke, freakin difficult, especially the Black Knight in the locked room where you need to get the key. I think 90% of my deaths are from him alone. Way more difficult than all the other bosses I have faced and I beat that dragon one at the lake.

Funny, I was just playing Vancouver when I made that post. Put Quinneas and Petterson on their arse a few times. Now currently slipping the green filth the burgundy dry length. It's going well. No it's not some twitter bullshit like you get on Altitude popped up and distracted me and I tripped a guy now I'm in the box.
