I'd overall agree with this. If the gameplay is good, I can forgive a lot. TotK is an amazing game, one of the best I've ever played, yet it is a 900p 30fps (at times 20fps) game. Eldin Ring has a terrible framerate (all over the 40s and 50s) and can't realistically hit more than 1800p... yet it is also one of the best games I've ever played. VRR was critical to my ER enjoyment though... it was way too bad without it.

It sounds like Starfield is 30fps due to CPU limitations... which if that is the case, we got just an extra couple years compared to the eighth generation.
You need a 4090 these days to run at a smooth frame rate. I only game on PC.

Wish they stopped with the open world addiction, not every AAA needs to have one. I couldn't care less about these massive barren maps that have you going from marker to marker for 50+ hours.

Star Wars has a great universe, but only the original trilogy was good. Everything else has been just awful.
C'mon, there are some good stuff outside of the OT...

KOTOR was GOAT-status, Rebels and Clone Wars both had some great plotlines. The PT has some great stories buried in there even if the movies weren't great. There is a lot of trash in there too I'll give you that.

I thought Metro Exodus was a good mix of linear and open world

Exodus was great. Multiple smaller open areas mixed with linear sections was an excellent design choice.

The Ubisoft approach is horrendous and such a bore. I can't play any of their recent games more than a few hours tops.

I did like KOTOR as a kid. I haven't played it or the second one in a long, long time. I also enjoyed Shadows of the empire, but I think that's because it was one of the first N64 games I ever played. And the jetpack blew my mind. I still remember fighting IG-88 in that train car.

Other than that I didn't like any of it. Everyone kept telling me to watch clone wars, so I watched the first season. I f***ing hated it. I'll never understand why people love Ashoka so much. All she did was whine about Anakin training her.

I also watched the first season of the Mandalorian and I didn't like that either. Wasn't as bad as clone wars, but still all around garbage.

I enjoyed the new Ghost Recon games, but it's way more fun when I have a few buddies and we're just dinking around.

Early clone wars is pretty meh, even for a kids show. But the later seasons have some worthwhile storylines. Early Mando was the best. The last few seasons have had terrible pacing.

My kids love star wars so I pretty much have to watch them all.

You best FIND OUT.

Because at Double or Nothing, you’re going to have to understand one thing, Henchy: when you step in the ring with me, you can’t leave a mark on the Champ’s face. No, you see when you step in the ring, you’re going to find out that your arms are just too short to box with God.

Marcia Lucas. She was able to save Lucas from his worse tendencies but after their divorce she didn't work with him on Star Wars again. So, we got Jar-Jar because nobody else could tell George no.

That being said, there's a lot of good stuff that isn't movies, unfortunately Disney has also said most of that stuff doesn't exist anymore. Since Disney has purchased SW, it seems the only thing they want to do with live action is destroy the characters from the original series. I have no idea why they hate the original characters so much, but it is what it is.

A lot of people said the original trilogy was "saved in editing" and I 100% believe them after the abominations that were the prequel trilogy. It's really too bad she didn't continue with the franchise. It's pretty clear she had the best vision of all.

A New Hope was definitely saved in editing. They added and removed a bunch of stuff to make it work, the finale especially was a thing of beauty. A detailed breakdown can be found on youtube. Won an Oscar for editing as well.

Hold on! The prequels though. And what about the two original Battlefront games.

Star Wars Demolition was kinda fun too... And Republic Commando.
