Mete is definitely up for good. Even if it's a lost year, Mete is going to be a big part of our future and his development takes precedence. He's developing by leaps and bounds right now, sending him to London would be a slap in the face to pretty much everyone.

Not to mention London is doing as bad as we are.

Unless Mete craps the bed next two games (which I think is unfair given how Benn, Petry and Alzner have done it almost every game), he is here to stay. We’ll know this coming week I guess.

Lets say the plan is to tank the year, we still keep Mete for development?

I would say yes. Despite the losing season, he can benefit playing with NHL'ers against NHL'ers. As has been mentioned already, London is the worst team in the OHL so far this year. They're basically the Habs of the Ontario league. So he's better off losing in the NHL and learning instead of heading to Juniors and lose in the OHL where he won't really learn anything.

Tough situation; Too good for junior and not fully NHL ready. I don't think his body is ready for a full NHL season even though hes been excellent.

Keeping Victor Mete passed the allotted games is a mistake as it is with other Juniors. Just shows you how watered done the NHL is and how terrible a job Bergevin has done as a GM. What looked like promising team a short well back is now looking lost and dismal at best. Corey Perry beating Mete and setting up the goal for the Ducks shows he needs more seasoning. The Knights have palyed really well the last 4 games and should have won them all but for hot goalies and tough luck. I am cheering for Mete not the Habs as I personally think Bergevin doesn't have a clue. I am still pissed at trading PK and giving away Beauliou and not signing Markov. Frigging stupid if you ask me. Look at the results !!The Leafs hire Mark Hunter and look how they have turned their team around in a shorter time span then Montreal.

The seasoning will be done at the NHL level, there is no more seasoning to be had in the OHL for Mete

Can we afford to loose Mete ? I don't think so, unless you want to finish last.

... at this point. But what do you say to the kid? '' hey you're playing too well for us and we want Dahlin to play ahead of you next year on the left side. ''

He's the ONLY bright spot to this year ... how f***ing sad is it that a low draft pick becomes our best impact of the year. All those # 1 picks should be f***ing ashamed of themselves... they can't say the opportunity isn't there with this team ... Mete saw it and grabbed it and isn't letting go ... good for him.

Why can't we just buy one year of his ELC and send him down to Laval? He doesn't seem to be physical enough to NHL and playing in London won't do much for him in that area. I'd say he could use a year in AHL.

WHY !! would you want to send him to Laval? So he could be coached by someone worse than Julien. We have one of the weakest farm teams in the AHL. no development there. Get rid of Sylvain . YA I hope he doesnt get crunched and@#$%^%$ hurt. Hey he has learned what it takes to play pro send him back have him dominate in the OHL. Next year he will be that much better. How many 19 year old defenceman make theNHL. We all agree that our GM @#$%^&*&^%$#@ this team . No slight to Victor but if we ad a half decent defence core he wouldnt be there. GM traded all of PK s buddies and left team in SHAMBLES!!!!!!!
