I guess another thing is that every time Vegas does something weird, it probably gives them another $1million to spend at the trade deadline lol
Exactly. They kept the one they wanted, and said "thanks, but not thanks" to Lavoie.Ya I'm guessing they didn't think they'd get both players
I can not wait for the tribute video
For those interested, this cost Edmonton $41,250, paid to Vegas and not counted against the cap.
Total number of claims: 8
Total compensation: $331,500
why? what purpose does that serve?I feel like they should make a rule to not be able to waive a player you just claimed for x number of days/games.
Me as well. I hope they use this song…I can not wait for the tribute video
They are just returning the cheque Vegas gave them when they claimed him 4 days ago.At least Vegas gets compensation for all the work they did to develop him.
Oilers gonna lose him on waivers to someone else if they don’t keep him up
Colorado or Carolina are the most likely bets, IMO. Canucks don't have the cap space without a corresponding move of their own.Colorado seems pretty obvious given their lack of wing depth currently.
You know whats funny about this.
If the Oilers waive him to try and get him to the AHL, and Vegas is the only team that claims him, Vegas can directly put him on their AHL team lol.
Yes, but if noone else put a claim, the Oilers can send him to AHL without waving him.I’m pretty sure Oilers get priority?
Yeah, It was either the Stars, Hurricanes or the Avs as they aer the only teams that could have claimed him that have the cap.But we know at least one other team (Colorado?) also wants him. So odds are he's not getting sent down anytime soon.
