Brisson might be one of the most enjoyable prospects to watch in NCAA. So fast

Is he eligible to play in the AHL playoffs on his Henderson contract? I always thought reserve players needed to sign their ELCs after the AHL playoff roster freeze.
The AHL playoff roster freeze is for sending players down from the NHL. Which doesn't matter for him if he has an AHL contract.

OK, so regardless of making the playoffs or not, there are a few to do things on McCrimmon's list regarding current draftees.

The nominal deadline to sign 2020 draftees out of the CHL (or they return to the draft) is June 1 (IOW has to be signed by May 31). (Not sure if this deadline has changed due to Covid schedule changes, but assuming it's still on.) This includes Vikman.

May 31 is also the deadline to make bonofide offers (BFOs) to 2021 CHL draftees. Brabenec played in QMJHL but he was not drafted out of CHL (he played in Europe draft year), so not clear if he needs BFO, or the team has rights for four years. Cholach played in OHL this past year, Demek in WHL (same deal). My guess is they all may need BFOs.

May 31 is also the deadline for VGK to sign players leaving college before graduation. This includes Brisson. (There are a handful of other college players that might be impacted as well should they choose to not return to college.)

August 15 is deadline to sign graduating player Campoli, or he becomes unrestricted free agent.

(And obviously any undrafted free agent signings out of CHL, USHL and college grads.)

Plus preparing for draft - ranking prospects. (In addition, draft team may have other assets they need to move "at" the draft for future cap relief, more draft capital, etc.)

Media has not yet reported that scouting staff and front office have yet met to discuss these topics. (Some years they have headed to Montana for discussions.)

Vikman shutout the Silvertips by saving all 50(!!!!) shots to bring the series total to 3-2(he missed one game due to injury that resulted in a loss). Not bad for the worst-seeded team in the league against the west's top seed.

Vikman, and the Vancouver Giants, has written history in becoming the first eighth-seeded team to beat the top-seed in the WHL playoffs.
