Really hope Dallas wins. NHL has no incentive to stop this with their Cinderella team.

Any other team try to circumvent the cap? Penalties coming your way.

Vegas has
Look, I'll let you in on a little secret, you don't need to find a reason to hate to Vegas, you can hate Vegas for aboslutely no reasons at all. but making shit up like this does nothing but help discredit the arguments of those who want to be a bit more subtle about wanting to find a reason to hate vegas and those who for some reason feel personally aggrieved by the situation.

I'm not sure the logical conclusion of this trend is one we want to experience. It'll be downright laughable when other teams really start leaning into this.

LOL yea ok cheater team

Everyone wants to talk about Vegas being like 20 million over the cap in the playoffs and how bad that is, but not enough people talk about how brave it is of the Leafs that they go into every playoff series with 30 million in dead cap space.

If not for the unreasonable anti-Leaf bias around here we would all be celebrating them for winning any games with that kind of handicap.

Well if you insist, lets break your claim down.
no team has ever faked the same player's injury 5 years in a row and brought him back on the same day every year
First off I'll need to know the injuries the two years prior 2022 that he had that were "faked," , I'll also need to some kind of proof the inuries were faked, even the most earnest skeptics don't dispute the injuries only the return timeline, but you've clearly said faked and doubled down on it. You will also need to show how April 12th, April 18th and what ever date it is this year are the same day every year, you'll also need to let me know (make up) the dates for 2020 and 2021... even being generous and saying Game 1 of the playoffs, that's 1 of 4.... quite possibly 2 of 5... quite a difference.

So either your a traveler visiting from another dimension, in which case welcome or your trolling and we have rules against that.

A 99 page thread about how Vegas is cheating, how unfair it is, how horrible for the league it is, it gives Vegas a big advantage, someone should injure Stone because this is so horrible, etc.

But I just checked and only 21.8% of posters on the forum think Vegas will win in the first round. Ask how many think Vegas will win the first 2 rounds or make the Finals again and the number would be even lower.

I don’t understand why people are directing their hate at the Knights and not the league. I don’t agree with having no cap for the playoffs but every single team can do the same exact thing. This is on the NHL and powers that be, not the Vegas Golden Knights or Tampa Bay Lightning.

I have my theories, first and foremost people are looking for anything more they can add to their hatred of Golden Knights. As I've said I don't think Stone missing the entire playoffs would change peoples minds, Vegas would still be "cheaters"

There's plenty of talk about the Leafs here. This thread doesn't have to be about them, too

This is a fair comment. People talk a lot about the top 4 but out of hand ignore that other teams work with more cap space (having the same player routinely “injured” with a team convenient timeline).

A lot of focus is placed on the 40 M of cap space with toronto. But they often ignore the 10-20M of cap space otherteams routinely exploit.

Simplest explanation is probably the correct one. Fans of others teams don't like when another team bends the rules to get an advantage over their team. People can also aim their frustration in more than one direction.

Honestly, If you're a neutral fan and still don't see this as playing within the rules of the CBA then you really have no ability to look at things through an honest, unbiased lens. Practically everyone that knew better knew he was going to be back for the playoffs while all Vegas fans were like "Are we even going to make the playoffs?. He's probably not playing at all these playoffs and I'd bet anything he won't play the first series".
The consistency of the desperation in your posts for nothing but engagement through trolling is astounding.

The only insulting thing about this whole situation is the Knights expecting anyone to believe this wasn’t the plan from minute one and instead is just some natural progression of a player coming back from injury.
I don't think the Vegas front office cares. The NHL certainly doesn't so why should they?

This predicament began nearly FIVE years before the Knights existed, in the last CBA.

The Vegas hate is silly. Again, it is likely because I’m not a Bolts fan, but the outpouring of vitriol seems to have increased between Tampa doing this and Vegas doing this.

Stone has very well documented health issues though. If you think they're fake, that's on you for believing dumb shit. Teams are always within their rights to contest if they think medical fraud is taking place.

He probably should retire given he's made of glass, but doesn't want to because he likes the game too much.
He's only made of glass in the regular season. Once playoffs come around the dude is Doug Jarvis reincarnated.
