Vancouver
If the Canucks draft where they are today at roughly 6/7th overall, would Colorado accept the following:

2023 6/7th overall, Hoglander, and perhaps a 2025 2nd for Byram + Newhook?

Canucks would be taking the risk of having Byram with multiple concussions in his career but if he manages to stay healthy it would be worth the while. Avs get a young forward with high potential and another unprotected 1st in 2025.

Why the shit would the Canucks do this? Why the shit would the av's do this?

Just all around awful proposal.

Byram was a 4th overall pick, and has already logged top minutes on a Stanley Cup winning roster as a 20 year old.

Why would Avs trade him for 6th/7th overall and what could be a pretty mediocre pick in 2025 (for example 16th overall, as Newhook was)?

I do like byram but he's not what we need right now and that 6-14th pick is needed.

Yeah, why would Vancouver need a really talented 21 year defenceman who was instrumental in the Avs winning a Stanley Cup last year?

Give the Canucks some more magic beans please! There’s no risk with defencemen that go that high in the draft…just look at Juolevi!

If you look Colorado Avalanche this year.
Rantanen get an another level but stiil eating more than 9M on cap
in the last 3 game he took 2 time misconduct.
If a guy need to go @ the draft it's him.
Trying to trade him for fantili or mitchkov will make for colorado enough cap space for keeping all players and in adding a young players can make them more dangerous and keep them competitive in 3 to 5 years

And why would a rebuilding team drafting top5 would trade said pick for a soon to he 30yo forward making 9M/ year instead of drafting Fantilli

Lol not even close for the Avs.

Lol he's 26.
And by the time those team get out of the gutter he'll be near 30 and requesting a new contract, what's your point exactly?

Landeskog has value for a team between 9-15 to help for a playoff push. He holds next to no value to a team like the Habs, the Yotse, the Hawks etc who are just starting their rebuild.

My point was that he's not close to 30. Agreed that a rebuilding team should draft and continue to suck for the next few years instead of trying to be better.

Don’t really care about the package, but Byram is not on the table for anything less.
Cool, if QH was on the table I feel like it's the same, Byram comes for EP then it costs the AV's a lot more.

Avs wouldn't take QH for Byram. Makes our team worse.
Oh ok, so were not having an actual conversation here, because nobody is dumb enough to believe that, cool.
