Canucks are ranked somewhere around 14th for remaining strength of schedule, they’ve already gone through the hardest part.

Edmonton on the other hand has played the easiest part and still sits at .500, things only get harder for them going forward. They rank in the top 5 for hardest schedule remaining

for what it’s worth, most fans know that the Canucks will regress and won’t finish 1st in the league. Fans have had a rough couple of years, so just let them enjoy this small victory
It was actually eight years of complete shit, and even if we regress, were still gonna be a top 10 team this year.

It’s been an amazing season, and I’m sure every Canucks fan is loving it.

Because it’s realistic, team still has some big holes to fill defensively before taking them seriously
Soucy coming back will be a nice boost. He's third best defenseman on this team when healthy and eats a lot of tough minutes.

Still would like to see them add a Tanev or Larsson type to round out the defense.

They are 100% going to regress. Canuck fans can laugh and mock the PDO stats all they want but they quite literally always regress back towards the mean. No team in history has had a PDO remotely close to where they are right now.... I mean hell the Bruins last year had a historic PDO year and this years Canucks still blow that number out of the water. So yes, some regression is coming.

That being said, they've done well enough and created enough of a gap that making the playoffs for them is basically a lock at this point. Winning the West or winning the Pacific will likely be a challenge but they should have a decent chance at that as well. It'll be interesting to see what the management does at the deadline. I'd be cautious about going to all in this early on in the "window" for them, since we dont even know if the window is really opened yet. But at the same time given the contract status of a couple guys and the age of a key piece in JT Miller, this might also be the best year they get so its a fine line and tough balancing act they face.

Should be interesting to see what they do.

They were supposed to regress by now
Nope as the chart indicates, we are progressing
