I can't speak for every Jets fan, but I certainly hope the Leafs lay it to the Canucks - big time - today!

I think you CAN speak for every Jets fan, unless of course you guys don't like playoff spots or something like that I don't see why any Jets fan would hate us so much that they'd want the Canucks to widen their playoff cushion.

What kind of stupid-ass reason to hate us is that? It's not like the city of Toronto banded together in protest against Vancouver getting an NHL team FFS.

I remember a Jets fan also saying that their hatred for the Leafs is rooted in an old Harold Ballard campaign against Winnipeg getting an NHL team. As if Leafs fans were such big supporters of Harold Ballard and weren't waiting impatiently for him to croak at all.

Hockey Analysis Rating Defense. It's supposed to measure how good a player is defensively, but it's obviously not very accurate.

That also plays a part in it. They want us to hate them but we just don't(for the most part) and they flip out over it. It's quite hilarious actually. They'll deny it but thats ok.

As an outsider will be interesting to see if Hughson is still going to be kissing Vancouver's ass now that they are struggling. I was reading he made harsh comments about the state of their team recently so we'll see if he will be pro-leafs today. Seems like he's only pro leafs during Ottawa-Toronto games.

Few things:

1) Let's CBC get back to Olympic coverage by 9 PM Eastern, which is 6 AM Sochi Time - gear up for the next day
2) Let's players heading over to Sochi (Kessel, JVR) get a bit of a head-start.
3) Let's commentators heading over to Sochi also get a bit ahead.

Canucks didn't really start to bug me until the Gillis/Vigneault era. Those two turned the team into a bunch of rats who dove and embellished calls frequently.

Before that, I actually liked the Canucks. Back when they had Naslund, Morrison and Bertuzzi.

Pretty much has to do with the Olympics. Just gets everyone better orientated for Day 2 and gets the athletes on planes quicker to Sochi.
