If it’s tracked like naturalstattrick it depends on a shot being taken. Which over the long haul I think is a reasonable thing. So the Avs had a few odd man rushes where they passed instead of shot so that will be missed in scoring chance counts. They also had some blocked which will reduce the scoring chance score.

To me this is a period where the scoring chance on paper look even but it’s because the Canucks racked up some points on just throwing pucks to a net without traffic and the Avs we’re trying but failing at making plays.
