Super happy with this. Looks like we had a guy and scooped him up before it was too late. I think they are being patient with the Benning replacement because the options aren’t as good for GM as they were for coaching changes. Benning is good as gone.

I think BB was a good choice. Like others have already said, I'm surprised that Benning was allowed to make this move. I'd have expected this to be a full blown house cleaning.

I'm also surprised that BB liked this job. The Canucks are in complete disarray, and with a potential opening in Colorado soon, I'd have expected him to wait around for that.

This is pretty terrific news. Boudreau will be looking for his 1,000th win pretty soon which could get the entire Canucks team fired up. He's an absolute legend in Minnesota.
