That's kind of how I feel about it. Big Money Mike just repeating "we have Tom Wilson at home" doesn't make it any more true the second timeVanecek holds little to no value with contract/performance.
That said it probably makes more sense to just keep Vanecek for this return unless there is another deal out there to take on someone like Jarry for compensation and run him with Askarov as a tandem for a couple years while the rookies are cheap.
Otherwise, feels redundant to have Walker Duehr 2.0 after just waiving Walker Duehr 1.0 yesterday.
Also crossed over with Warsofsky in Charlotte I believe (although I didn’t actually check). This is really a nothing return but oh well. Vanecek is expensive and injury prone so wasn’t expecting much![]()

Its important to have that extra cap since we’ve only got *checks notes* 22 million in cap space left.Bro burnt the kitchen. At least we got cap off the books?
Probably true but probably not Grundstrom or Dellandrea but Kunin. My sense is Grier brought in Giles because he will be moving others like Sturm, Grundstrom or Dellandrea.
Yeah, I forgot about Kunin. Playing better this year, but I’m tired of hearing about how much he embodies the way the Sharks should play. I’d rather the players embody Celebrini.Probably true but probably not Grundstrom or Dellandrea but Kunin.
I agree. I'm hoping this sort of deal is designed to have Giles play in Kunin's place when he is dealt...at least in terms of roster spot. After tomorrow's game, I'm hoping the lines end up being something along the lines of...Yeah, I forgot about Kunin.
