Lagesson and Robertson should be in for Giordano and Knies. Literally cannot be any worse than what those guys are giving us and both Gio and Knies could use a break.
True! Honestly, the mediocrity under the Shanahan regime is all encompassing and blends together more and more as the years drag on. Add Columbus to that list too.You left out 3-1 comeback by the Habs
JT's return to long island was under Babcock
We like to toil in mediocrity endlessly.
It is mind-boggling how Tavares got so bad that quickly. I mean, I do like the guy but f*** is he ever bad now. He actually may be the slowest player in the NHL. With hands of stone.
On the 6-4 pp sure would've been nice to see Marner let a play organically form, instead of forcing every pass like he's Tom Brady.
Sure, as long as they dont have a slow footed dudes taking unnecessary penalties. With even mildly below average goaltending they win that game
I'm literally not, I didn't even bring up the Canucks once, all I said was that goaltending, defense, and depth are the main issues and they need to be improved upon, which is not in any way an attack on the Leafs but just an observation from a guy who like to also watches the Leafs, so I'ma stop responding to you because you are being accusatory and this interaction now might get me an infraction and I don't want one.who cares your coming here in bad taste rubbing it in, no one cares about the Canucks here
I don’t think Keefe is the coach next week. I don’t think that Calgary win was enough to save his job
I’m praying we keep that first rounder. Keep our young and promising prospects.I think we're falling through mediocrity into a lot of trouble. Let's just keep the 1st rounder, make smart decisions to offload the expiring contracts and hit it again in the offseason. We have to prepare for life without Tavares and make sure we are in good shape...
Management's decision on what they do with Marner will ultimately decide the future of the team, for better or for worse. I would rather let him walk than resign him at $12-13M. If they resign him again for 8+ figures, they are committed to another decade of mediocrity. If Marner and JT are off the books, you could reshape this roster into something compelling still.I think we're falling through mediocrity into a lot of trouble. Let's just keep the 1st rounder, make smart decisions to offload the expiring contracts and hit it again in the offseason. We have to prepare for life without Tavares and make sure we are in good shape...
The whole is way more useless than the sum of the parts.Things I learn reading Leaf post game threads:
1. 48 shots for means your offense is terrible.
2. 21 shots against means your defense is terrible.
3. 6 goals against on 21 shots is the coaches fault.
Why? I've already moved on to the next game. This game is insignificant to us. If they want to celebrate like they've won the Stanley cup, as pathetic as that is, let them. Who cares?I f***ing hate that Vancouver fan base. I really hope they get smashed and swept in the first round.

Every year we burn with the big 3 hurts. We should be in win now mode , what a waste of talent.I think we're falling through mediocrity into a lot of trouble. On a good team he’d be a valuable piece. Maybe they cand find a good fit.You can't dress Gio and Brodie; one of them has to sit.
A disturbing trend has emerged between the Toronto Maple Leafs and one National Hockey League official, although to be fair it may be just a gigantic coincidence.
Last night Scouting the Refs, a website that specializes in tracking data regarding the NHL's officiating crews, published a report that revealed that the Leafs have gone 1 - 12 when NHL referee Graham Skilliter is officiating the game.
The reason the statistic was brought up was due to the fact that Skilliter was once again officiating last night with the Leafs facing off against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Now to be clear, it would be very unfair to blame Skilliter for Toronto's loss to arguably the best team in the entire league right now, however with the Leafs falling 2 - 0 to the Lightning, they are now 1-13 with Skilliter officiating.
I’ve said all along even if you make only 1 of 50, fans will only remember the one that connected. LolThe problem is that it works. Very rarely, and when it does, its spectacular. (like with McCabe goal). SO he must try to do this 50 times a game
Funny you should already have one, go back to your own board...... amount of us posting in other teams PGT after we win its an instant infraction, you should be held to the same standardI'm literally not, I didn't even bring up the Canucks once, all I said was that goaltending, defense, and depth are the main issues and they need to be improved upon, which is not in any way an attack on the Leafs but just an observation from a guy who like to also watches the Leafs, so I'ma stop responding to you because you are being accusatory and this interaction now might get me an infraction and I don't want one.
It's certainly very obvious that Keefe only trusts a few players on the team. The rest of the guys seem don't seem to want to play for him. This Leafs team doesn't really excel at hockey other than maybe the 6 on 5 goalie pulled shooting gallery where they look dynamite. Doesn't seem like it's built or coached to really excel at any aspect of the sport. Weakness everywhere, in all zones, all positions, most situations.
I'd just fire Keefe, get Berube in here to start revamping the culture, clear some cap and start getting ready for what is a good offseason retool.
...and Kerry Fraser.@eramosat
you don't think the referee matters? you really think all zebra's are on the up and up?

Disturbing trend emerges between the Maple Leafs and one particular NHL referee.
A very curious statistic.www.hockeyfeed.com
the record is now 4-25 when this donkey has the whistle, it's like living through Terry Gregson again and again and again
