I just don't have any idea what the plan is? Our forward group is now thin and softer. We don't really have any two-way guys to go head-to-head against elite guys. It's pretty much a one line team with no real top talent.

Biggest head scratcher for me here is that, in an alternate universe, they could have most likely done the same trade with our own 1st, thereby boosting the team, and potentially not have the team implode partially due to the awful, awful defense that was constructed. (I guess timing is key here too and Pitts only decided to trade now.)

I think this actually could create a viable second pairing with Petterson and Hronek, just need a solid RD (other than Myers lol) for the 1st pairing. I really like the O'Connor acquisition.

Ah so here is the first call that the Canucks need yet another top 4 defenseman. It doesn't matter how much defenseman the Canucks aquire, the broken record in this fanbase is that they need another top 4 defenseman.

The trade for Marcus Petterson probably isn't even registered yet but hey, we need another defenseman

i actually think i hate this the most of all the moves allvin has made

pettersson is okay and will help the blueline but he's already breaking down at 28 and i think extending him is probably not the best use of the cap space. drew o'connor is fine but another 3rd/4th liner isn't really what this team needs. i get that they had to pay to get rid of heinen and desharnais but i really really think they could have used the rangers pick to much better effect
