He was a healthy scratch in the finals on a team who's D-core isn't super difficult to crack. They finally just gave Broberg a chance, and he was far superior than Vinny.

I've always had a soft spot for Vinny, but there's zero chance I'd be happy with him at 2 mil per.

Solid on the PK though, his foot speed, puck moving, and hockey sense are what holds him back.

Canucks blue line is constructed for old school hockey. It’ll get heavily exposed this season. Mobility and puck moving is near non-existent

So Vancouver's forward group stayed about the same, but their D took a sizeable downgrade so far this summer. Will be interesting to see what happens if their depth scoring takes a step back this year.
