I think Lindholm is a good fit in Vancouver and I like what they’re doing. I’d like to see them continue to be aggressive this year. They’re pretty electric and out of nowhere, it’s exciting.

I wonder if this is a rental or if Lindholm is coming with an extension.

Either way it pushes VAN into the conversation for best center depth in the league.

Calgary is going to love Hoglander. He'll put up 20 goals 45 points next year playing 82 games and probably end up a 50 - 55 point guy who drives play from the wing in his prime

I dont like this from Van's perspective , it's only worth it if Lindholm helps van win a Cup.

Wow. Even without other pieces, kuzmenko is a good return in value. Too bad it means calgary just never wants to properly rebuild.

It's a 1st round pick and Hoglander along with Kuzmekno.

for Lindholm and something lesser (later pick or B-C lvl prospect).

Watch.
I could see that. My prediction is it's either Hoglander and a 1st or Brustewicz and a 1st along with Kuzmenko. Those are the deals that make sense.

Just a question for Vancouver fans, is this a sign they're going all in with the murky situation of Petterson's RFA or a sign that they're trying to show him that they're able to compete with him on the roster or a bit of both?

The castaway line
A little bit of everything. Ultimately I think this isn't necessarily about Pettersson. They're doing this because of their cap situation; they have a window to win which I believe is defined by the contract that Hughes is currently on (because after that he'll likely be a $15M player). And there is definitely a window this season specifically before a bunch of guys get raises, whether in Vancouver or somewhere else, like Pettersson, Hronek, Joshua, Blueger etc.
