Nah, if that's the asking price for Lindholm, Canucks can have Lindholm and his 2 goals (both on the PP) in last 25 games.
Late 1st and our 3rd/4th prospect that had very little chance of making the NHL on his ELC in Vancouver is a lot? We’ll see how Lindholm does alongside Pettersson instead of Huberdeau.

Also, I’d much rather pay a little more to get a player with Lindholm’s talent and ability than pay a bit less for a guy like Monahan. Will be interesting to see who Colorado and Winnipeg target now.

Lindholm was never the straw that stirred the drink but he doesn't have to if he's playing on a line with Pettersson. Good trade for the Canucks and makes them a better team, but fans could be disappointed if they decide to load up the first line without him.

I think the best thing would be to share the wealth between lines and put him with Pettersson and Miller with Boeser.

… are you comparing Huby to Canucks’ offense? He’s been on the top powerplay the entire season. His main linemate was Pettersson. Huberdeau isn’t better than EP. Take your hate for the Canucks out of your bias.
lol okay, typical forget all the context and just assume. All I said is this trade seems potentially better than Horvat haul. Raty is a 21 yo who can’t even perform in the AHL and Kuz has more value than a bust in Beau. Not sure why that makes me a homer.

They got players like Miller, Cole, Blueger, etc who have experience. Canucks themselves were one game away from the WCF during the bubble.
Which is one game away from a deep playoff run in my eyes :-)
Yes, they've got a little bit of experience there. Like I said, not a huge weakness, but feel like they'd be more comfortable with some more experience, especially on defense. That's where the attrition and pressure weighs most.

So Kuzmenko was a bit too old to win the Calder with his 70pts, 39g, NHL scouts woke up this summer and now the "book is out" and he's a ~10g guy??

Like the deal for CCG, even if Kuz never rebound.

I'm an enormous fan of Hunter Brzustewicz, I had him in the 1st at the draft. I think he has top pairing upside, and the complaints about his skating and defensive play are overstated. His IQ is elite and he takes over games. That said, there is a non negligible chance that he goes to the AHL next season (he was a late birthday draftee) and falters at the pro level. If he does, his value is nowhere near what the Canucks got out of him today.

I am also a huge fan of Elias Lindholm, I think he is a piece that if he clicks puts the Canucks over the top. Brzustewicz is probably 4-5 years out from being an impact NHLer.

The rest is negligible to me, Kuzmenko was awesome last year but he and Tocchet had bad beef and he had no value after all the scratches and poor performance this year.

2 Years ago I said this about Lindholm:

"Meh. Lindholm is overrated, think the world will see that this year as he won’t be propped up by Johnny and Tkachuk."

Dude sucks. Knew it then, know it now.
Now go back and dig up the tkachuk sucks and pulj will be better post from 2/3 yrs ago too

Kuzmenko is also in the deal and could get h Flames another 2nd or a legit prospect if they choose.
Rentals don't really go for much higher than this.

Decent for both teams. Hoping lindholm fits well and extends at a reasonable rate, otherwise that's an expensive rental.

Sucks Kuzmenko couldn't make it in Tocchet's system, but he just wasn't getting it and was very likely going to be a complete nonfactor in the playoffs.

Jurmo is nothing, a potential late 4th is nothing. The late 1st was obviously going to be part of it. Love that the prospect going to Calgary was one of the expendable ones that I wasn't very high on, although still with potential. Good puck mover, but nothing else projects to translate well at the NHL level, barring some unforseen physical development. That Dion guy claiming Brzustewicz was like Tanev: completely out to lunch.
