That wasn’t very nice. I’m saying you start the basis, and I’ll see what I can do.

Come to think of it, I don’t think you represent Calgary at all, you’re a fraud.
Them Oiler fans get spicy when it involves the Canucks getting there man, some little brother syndrome

Admittedly, ‘bash’ was an overly aggressive term, maybe better said as ‘be more honest’.

Honestly, Kuzmenko is night-and-day when compared year-on-year. He has been pretty brutal this year, and Tocchet hates him. He may well rebound, but it was not going to be in Vancouver.

Plus his salary now looks like an over-pay, though the term is not prohibitive.

Kuzmenko isn’t getting a decent haul…. Did you think the Canucks were getting a decent haul for him before the trade?
He wasn’t in a good situation for him, watch him put up points with Huby and get traded. Wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a backend deal that promises him a trade otherwise I’m shocked he waived for Calgary

I think they called and said we are going to give you every opportunity on a top line and pp. His time in Van wasn't looking that way and he needs to get another contract in just over a yr so he jumped at it.

Also think he blew his offseason training this yr and could well be much better next yr.

Probably could've had Hertl for not much more than that package. Big W for Calgary.
Canucks taking on Hertl isn't the same, if he's not a fit he has 6 more years of term left at a high AAV, plus his salary might mean not enough room for EP or Hronek

Part of the appeal for Vancouver with this is precisely that Lindholm IS a rental.

A lot of folks trying to cling on to the old mindset of wanting to have guys signed for years and years.

Outside of top stars or low AAV role players, that impedes flexibility.

Who knows if Vancouver will be able to re-sign all their role players who are having career years? They probably won’t be able. Frankly it’s not in their best interest to pay through the nose to keep everybody. That’s why you have Hoglander, Pod, Raty etc in reserve - not because they project as stars anymore but because guys like Joshua, Blueger, Suter and Lafferty are actually gonna get expensive.

What we do know is they are getting awesome contributions from everybody and have a real shot at the whole apple this year.

If Lindholm works out, they may be in the Finals. If he doesn’t, they let his salary go and have also gotten rid of $5.5 million with Kuz for 24-25 that they didn’t want on the ledger.

It’s kind of rare I would think that you get perhaps the most coveted rental on the market AND net yourself financially flexibility for the next year in the same deal.

… are you comparing Huby to Canucks’ offense? He’s been on the top powerplay the entire season. His main linemate was Pettersson. Huberdeau isn’t better than EP. Take your hate for the Canucks out of your bias.

smoke more crack.

good prospect, C prospect, late first, guy with one less goal than Lindholm.

A 3rd round pick is a B prospect. Anything past 15-20 overall is a project. If my Habs trade Lane Hudson tomorrow, they've traded a B prospect even if he's trending well. Jurmo has 26 pts in 156 ligga games. He's a bust. A guy who's been healthy scratched 5 times this year and plays 10-12 minutes a night making 5.5m is a cap dump.

Oh man, him and Huberdeau on the same line… should be a marriage made in heaven. I bet Backlund is pulling his hair out right now.

With another winger plus Pelletier, zary is going to center. Only thing that makes sense.

Huberdeau zary Pelletier could be a fun line

That’s a bunch for Lindholm as a rental. People here were saying a rental Guentzel wouldn’t even get this much.
Hunter is the only thing Canuck fans care about but he wasnt one of our top 3 prospects. The late first is standard in these deadline deals. Jurmo isnt very good and will never play in NHL and getting Kuzmenkos 5.5 cap hit off our books next year is a major coup

If the Flames let Kuzmenko play under a less rigid structure, I think he'll definitely rebound and increase his value.

Tocchet was trying to whip him into backchecking but it never worked and probably wasn't going to work.
