So I would like to ask the outsiders this…

say the Blues first pick is 8, 9 or 10Th. That first and Kyrou for the number 2 or 3 overall?

too little. too much?

There's basically no teams likely to get any of those picks that would get enough out of Kyrou at his current contract at their points in the rebuild to be worth it. Maybe the #4 pick if the Capitals somehow win the lottery and get it and Bedard, Fantilli and Michkov are gone. With Blues taking Mantha as a cap dump

No thanks. Kyrou is -38 this season, Huberdeau -4.

Kyrou's Cf% at even strenght is 48.1, Huberdeau's is 55.8.

Yes Kyrou is faster and younger, but he is a defensive liability.

Huberdeau isn't and Sutter doesn't need any more grey hairs.
This has to be a joke. The younger guy on the better contract that has performed better you don’t want. It’s the blues who would scoff at this

Oliver Wahlstrom, Ruslan Iskhakov, 2026 1st, and Josh "Chainz" Bailey.

Take it or leave it...

Regardless of speculative value.

Your last statement is spot on. Kyrou would never work in Calgary with Sutter there. I don’t see him adapting to fit a team.

Almost any team could benefit from having Kyrou and the puck. The question becomes, do you love the idea of playing off the rush, and how high are you on Fantilli/Carllson.

Kyrou is 24. He’s not someone that needs to be thrown into a win now team or he’s going to fall out of productiveness in 3 years. He’ll be productive for the length of the contract.

Tbh I dont see a coexist between Chief vs Kyrou/Thomas

So something drastic could happen in the offseason

If Thomas and or Kyrou are traded... it would be smart to attach Krug/Faulk... to get rid of excess salary.

He's a good player but given his warts and production he's signed to basically his UFA value. This isn't Robert Thomas or Tim Stutzle you're offering up at 8x8.* that every team would scramble to get.

Kyrou looks like a perennial 35+ goal scorer. They’d be idiots to trade him. Defense can be taught. Tarasenko get a little better at it as he aged.

Like you wouldn’t drive the guy to the airport to be out of that contract.

Ppg with 36 goals making 8 mil. Look at all the other 35+ goal scorers. How much do they make....
