At 4x30, we would need to cut Young (which I think we should anyway) and we're under the tax assuming 2 ways don't count (and if they do, the other exception prob puts us under)

Glad we didnt match that, sad we lost him for nothing. For entertainment purposes... we will see some moves id imagine. You aren't starting with Flynn as your #1 PG and Trent Jr. is a SG... Barnes and Siakim can run the offense but you need an actual point guard.

I am happy he left personally, good for him to cash out but he’s def not worth that or whatever we were rumored to offer him.

Also, we are definitely in no man’s land now. That one play-in game was def worth it huh

Him leaving forces change rather than status quo. For that alone I'm glad.

Some reports suggested we were more likely to trade one of OG/Siakam if FVV didn't re-sign - I guess we'll see if that's at all accurate, or if we want to run it back with an even worse PG (not that we could have contended with FVV either).

Why did the Raps let him go for zilch? They had to have known they were doing diddly squat last year and this year. Masai has been really disappointing the last few years. Treading water every year. Lucky enough I don’t have a lot vested in the NBA. Kinda wish we had a bunch of new people running the office. I remember thinking Masai was a god. Not so anymore. Not a lot to get excited about other than Dick and Scottie lol

No thank you

Why not? That would give us a decent chance to keep our first rounder next season. :DD

I'm good with starting the season with Scottie at PG, but we should have someone who is at least competent to step in if he's either not ready or just not suited to play the role. I'm fine with it in large part because I have no illusions about competing next season and I want to find out if Scottie can do it. He definitely has the mentality, it's a matter of if he has all of the skills.

Of course, who knows what other changes are coming now.
