Any trade rumblings?

Interesting….weren’t lakers rumoured to be into VanVleet and just picked Hood-Schifino linked to the Raps ?

Lakers pick Jalen Hood Schifino (Fino = Failure Is Not Option) apparently his mom gave him that nickname what kind of pressure is that damn.

Also Im thinking with how mum the Raptors talks were for the pick, we have to be cook something in the back right?

Sounds like Duncan Robinson upside? Doesn't really move the needle, but good depth piece to have.
Apparently people are saying Gordon hayward because all offense no defense.

Also If there is one places Masai is pretty amazing at...it's the draft so I kind of wanna give him a bit of a break.

From Sam Vecinie @ the Athletic:

Dick seems like one of the safest bets we’ve seen in a while to be a genuinely good floor spacer in the NBA. His shooting mechanics, basketball IQ and overall comfort level as a player who can score without needing the ball in his hands constantly projects extremely well toward the NBA, regardless of situation. He can play in a ball-movement-heavy scheme or in a heliocentric scheme where one player dominates the ball. Guys like this who can create their offense simply by moving without the ball and finding dead spaces in the defense are often worth their weight in gold on offense if they can convert 3s. Even if he’s not the one making shots, he has to be guarded, which opens space for everyone else.

The defense must improve. There are signs he could get to an adequate level in time, but there are significant flaws that could crater his game on that end if things don’t go right. The offensive game has potential to be so positive in how it impacts his team that he has to be taken somewhere in the top 20. If the defense breaks right, he could be seen as something of a steal if he ends up being near the end of the lottery. Being able to hold his own on defense would make him a starter in the NBA. But there are some improvement areas he needs to work through before he reaches that level.

and via Athletic's college basketball writer CJ Moore:

Gradey Dick is one of the best two shooters in this draft and has the potential to be one of the better shooters in the league. He can get his shot off in a phone booth. His release is quick and high, made even more special by the fact that he’s tall for a wing (6-6 1/4 without shoes). He made 83 3s at a 40.3 percent clip as a freshman at KU, and that was with defenses locked in on him at all times. His shooting was so feared that his gravity opened things up for everyone else. It became common for teams to face-guard him. The shooting is what’s special, but he’s got a bit more to his game. He can drive a closeout and has some burst at the rim. He can finish with either hand and off one foot or two. Late in the season he was starting to crash the offensive glass and was a sneaky put-back guy. Defensively, opponents tried to pick on him, but that was in part because KU had some elite perimeter defenders. His on-ball defense got better as the season progressed and he’ll battle. If he can hang on that end, he should have a long career in the NBA because his shot is special.

I have zero knowledge about basketball prospects. Buy if I saw the guy that I am about to pick wearing a jacket that the the great late prince could only pull off. I would reconsider my pick. Kid has confidence. I will give him that.
