Mr Bosh to me is a horrible person, one that should forever be booed from Toronto. Unlike past superstars that have played here (Stoudamire, McGrady, Carter, Derozan, Lowry and even Kwahi), he will have nothing good to say about an organization and city that welcomed him to the NBA and gave him an opportunity to make a living playing the game he loved.

Ultimately everyone wanted to crucify Carter when he left. But at least he still recognizes the team that made him what he was in his career in the NBA. Carter will be the first Raptor to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, with Lowry not too long after. Both of those players should always be the Toronto Raptors and what they stand for. Not some player that needed to ride the coat tails of others to become something in the NBA.

He has been and always will be a very evil person.
Evil is a bit much no?

Unless there is something we dont know, it was widely reported that Jimmy didnt want to return to Philly and took less money because he wanted to play in a warmer climate and for Pat Riley in Miami. So again, unless there is something they know and we dont, Philly didnt get rid of Jimmy to appease Simmons. No GM in their right mind would pick Simmonds over Jimmy.

thru the 1st half big standouts have been scottie, yuta and svi and banton. if banton polishes some stuff up hes gonna be a FVV level steal in the 2nd round.

barnes is legit everywhere when hes on the floor. he could be special, man.

justin champagnie 17/10 in 22 minutes, dude can ball and is a very very good rebounder for his height. looks like a real solid pickup so far.

scottie is already my favorite player.
he's out there screaming at people and giving looong lookbacks at the other team, hes like garnett in that way. its fantastic.

finished with 13pts/9rbs/6asts/3stls/2blocks
60% from the floor.

Casually watching but does Mykhailiuk have potential? He looks fairly solid and is only 24.

Yes. He's big, so he fits right in, and he can shoot, which we need badly. I'm surprised that he was available so late in the off season. I liked him in Detroit, which is saying something because the Pistons were terrible.

Also,

SCOTTIE BARNES !!!!!

It's so obvious now why we chose him. If he learns how to shoot, he is going to be ridiculously good. The risk is that he never develops his shot and overall offence enough for a top-5 pick, but it seems worth that risk. Masai and Bobby went for the home run with Barnes rather than the double (maybe triple) with Suggs.

I don't think there is a single player who has that kind of a role to impact the game at both ends and facilitate plays as Barnes has on this team. Maybe Cade. I think being put in that pivotal role is going to allow him to really grow and develop his complete game much quicker than any of these guys. Green, Suggs, Mobley are headed towards very specific roles on the team, either defense or offense heavy. Suggs probably won't get a ton of playing time to develop as well. Cade IMO is probably the biggest wildcard. He's going to be their go-to guy but I've been very underwhelmed with him in SL. If Barnes really wants to make a run at being an impact player/ superstar and ROTY, he is going to be given every opportunity that most of these guys won't.

We really lucked out in the lottery this year and tanked at the right time. Even bringing in Precious is such good timing. With the Raptors being a middle of the pack-ish team in the east, I think these kids will be given massive roles and will get the fruits of their labor almost immediately, which should help develop them quicker. Green, Mobley, Suggs, Cunningham are all going to be on teams that are going to be struggling and might have to put in hard work to develop but get not a whole lot out of it.

anyone watch the vince carter documentary? man we should still sign him to a 1 day contract :(

he always should have retired a raptor

also, old allen iverson looks and sounds exactly like martin lawence..like spooky levels of resemblance lol

Yeah this team is going nowhere with FVV running the point. See if Philly is willing to take him and GTJ in a deal.

he literally dribbles the ball into the ground every possesion. scottie had 5 assists playing most of the game as 5. fvv had 2 and was just looking to create his own shot. hes not a pg. hes a 3 and d 2 guard.
let scottie run the point imo, because flynn wont be any better than FVV.

I know it's not nearly as important since we're talking the 12th-15th spots on the roster, but Gillespie continues to look like a mess following his awful summer league showing.

The only thing that might save his job at this point is that the team is potentially starting the season without Boucher and that would leave them thin in terms of bigs.
