Normally the 2nd round is pretty meaningless, but not for this FO. Found some real gems late and undrafted.
This could be another; a fun player development story to watch….it’s not like the minutes in front of him are all blocked.
Banton is also sneaky intriguing. A 6’9 pg who needs to work on his shot could be a great gamble.
He could conceivably be a real intriguing bench piece. Him and Barnes shooting together against each other all day.

ye and he actually improved in his second year alot(21% to 38% 3pt for example) oh well, better for us haha

I want this team to tank for Chet, but they could be a lowkey threat for the play ins depending on how our new C rotation does. Even without a go to scorer, this team also isn't playing 72 road games this year.
 
Anyone watch the Big 3? Lots of fun watching retired NBA players. They still play pretty well in this format. Jarrett Jack :) good shooter.

Definitely.

Tanking before the trade deadline is pointless and impossible with this team. If worst comes to worst and the tean sits 9-11 by the deadline, I can see them resting players and letting the young guys play. Playing for 1 playin game possibly is the stupidest thing ever and Masai has already stated "Play In for what?" If your not fighting for top 6 it really isnt worth it.

I wonder if adding another shooter is a possibility. Trent, Dragic, FVV, Anunoby, Boucher and Yuta are the only above average shooters. Not exactly the best when you'll always have 2 below average shooters on the floor at all times and I'm not even sure if you consider Yuta an above average shooter.

Siakam, Birch, Freddie, Achiuwa, Barnes, Wainwright, Mahmoud are all below average or non shooters, that's essentially all your PF / Cs aside from Boucher.

Yeah I mean Bucks lost a 2nd for tampering with Bogdanovic so I can see Miami and Chicago losing both their 2nds at minimum.

Raptors getting any type of punishment for the S&T makes no sense as all the players involved from their perspective were under contract or their own pending free agent so it would be a tampering charge against Miami.
 
So does this mean that we can theoretically be awarded an additional asset from Miami by the NBA if they conclude that there was tampering regarding Lowry?
 
They could also void contracts, so hopefully that doesn’t happen because that would probably throw a wrench into the whole trade.

I would def. tend to think so - especially if Pascal is engaged and playing. I actually think it's much more likely than not that's the case. I don't think that team looks bad at all (just not nearly good enough to consistently beat the big dogs.)

Are NBA teams not allowed to grant permission to other teams to speak to their pending free agents like what happens in the NHL?

because it doesn’t make much sense to me to investigate sign and trades because the current rights holder team are involved and thus, okay with the other team speaking with their player.

If anything, the NBA should be focusing on the half dozen or more signings that happened in the first 30 minutes lol

I dont really understand how its tampering when both teams were discussing compensation. The instant Free Agent signings are definitely more suspicious.
