honestly im happy with any of suggs/green/mobley since all kinda fit a need of ours.

the only thing im deathly scared of is they are gonna go barnes in the hope they get another giannis/kawhi type guy and they end up with another bruno :(

I'm really hoping they try to move up to secure Mobley. If they can make it happen for some combination of draft picks, I'd do it.

Would still be happy to take Suggs at #4. Gonna be hard for them to go wrong here no matter what they do.

Should have added what else was in that article. A lot of big stuff. Will add Cor since he is a master at posting rumors and stuff.

Relating to other things about the draft, interesting in the article was that if Raps do decide to move up, it's to make sure they get Suggs. They love his fit with the team. They would love Mobley too but thats unlikely to happen. The trade back scenario is also there. They recently scouted Giddy at a game.

In terms of trades, Grange confirms Raps are seriously engaged with Philly on Simmonds. When Philly made the crazy trade offer to them, Raptors shrugged it off and based on Grange's tone in the article, Raps weren't insulted or anything. More they know why Philly made the offer.
Simmonds appeals to the Raptors for many reasons. For a team with no traditional C, Simmonds ability to switch everywhere on defence is scary to think about. He's also signed for 4 more years so you have control.

Only if he’s the one out of the top 4 left. My preference both in player and team fit Mobley is the best fit IMO.
The game has transitioned to a guard oriented league, but the best and most dominant players today are the big guys with +++ skills.
 
I'd guess its 90% Suggs. OKC/CLE could shake things up. Suggs is a combo guard who needs to improves his handles a lot, too turnover prone. Not a great fit for the team but not bad. Defense, intangibles, transition are his strengths. If we got Mobley, I'd recommend acquiring Andrew Wiggins in a salary dump somehow. Gary Trent is a 6th man, do NOT overpay this guy. Lot of 2nd round interesting players available. Hopefully Raptors front office gives opportunity to any Canadian undrafted guys.

Wiseman has major bust risk, has zero BBIQ, has barely played last 2 seasons. Draymond wants him gone for a reason. No way I trade Siakam for these rumoured deals.
 
Be very happy with any of the top 4, or a trade back for a real good asset if we have someone like Barnes or Kuminga rated high.. Gotta trust the scouts. Would not be totally heart broken if we swing for the fences... Ben Simmonds would make a huge difference on this team. Hes a defensive star and can do alot of things.. On a team that has shooters and an emphasis on two way play , Simmonds could be a great floor general. Got to think we could use Kyle Lowry as an asset still also in a sign and trade situation to make salaries match also.

except make shots. doesnt matter how good our defense is if we cant score lol. and have you seen what the 76'ers are asking atm for him? holy crap no wayyyyyy.

They leak throughout the night, but pick trades are usually announced later even though they're leaked during. The original team still selects the players on behalf of the team they may have traded the pick to.

I see Kuminga & Barnes mentioned a lot, with them sounding more boom-bust than the top 4.

For anyone that has followed the draft strongly, what are their projections in a ‘everything goes right’ scenario and then also their baseline/expected projection?

If we do, it won't be for Scottie Barnes. Barnes will most likely go either 5 or 6.

If we do, it'll be for Josh Giddey who we apparently have extensively scouted, and with Trevor Gleeson recently added as well, I think he'll have first hand account of if he feels Giddey about it or not.
 
If Masai and Webster are exploring a Siakam trade, as rumoured, then I think Masai has quietly signed his extension.

if have VERYYYY little doubt hes coming back regardless. literally nobody in the FO sounds the least bit concerned.
 
The more I read up on giddey the more he intrigues me. Not with the 4th but if we trade down or get another pick. High risk reward type
