Jasper is less developed Banff with less tourists. The icefield parkway (highway to Jasper) has been rated as one of the best scenic roads in the world.

Anyways..... I think Yeti is fine for Utahs name. Its not the best, but it works. I would like to see something to rival the Avs or in regards to the state nickname though.

Love the canyon country... but Yeti's not too much of a stretch if you're in Park City in February. Lots of variety in Utah.

I ski Alta and Snowbird every year and live in CO….i get it. When some people questioned why Utah would get a team first over other prospects I was pretty vocal in saying Utah is a great winter sports state. It truly is and I think it’s a great place for a hockey team.

And yet half the state is basically desert. I’ve skied in the Canyons and come back to SLC and there’s not a flake of snow on the ground and it’s 60 degrees in winter.

Let’s not show pics of Park City in February and act like that’s what the state typically is.

If its the Mammoth, I want a cartoonish looking Mammoth on skates as the mascot, and the chesiest jersey's money can design. Think Mighty Ducks of Anaheim level cartoon stuff. Snuffleupagus.

It’s up to the eye (and ear) of the beholder to argue if some of these names fall into the terrible category.

I would say that the last 7 are all questionable at best, stinkers for the most part. Panthers and earlier were good though. So I expect that we will have 8 awful team names in a row after this is all said and done.
