Until you people actually go and see Winnipeg downtown after 8 PM, I really can't argue with you. Salt Lake is nicer in almost every sense than Winnipeg. Better weather, beautiful mountains, better economy, less crime, etc.look the same to me minus the mountains, lol. All you need to know about Winnipeg, Canada, for your trip
I actually tend to agree with you. I just thought it was funny that on Google the first three images of both places there were one of each that looked very similar, lol. I've never been to either, but can envision SLC being a better place to live than Edmonton. However, I also agree with the other poster that as a hockey player, it's not that much of a difference to be a needle mover.Until you people actually go and see Winnipeg downtown after 8 PM, I really can't argue with you. Park City Utah is a far nicer place than anything Winnipeg has to offer.
This entire thread just goes to show how little anyone actually payed attention to the Coyotes. Which is funny, because everyone is an expert when it comes time to talk about trade value of Coyotes and now Hockey Club members.People are severely overrating the amount of "risk" that the Utarizona Coyotes Club are taking here.
It's not all about games played folks. This guy has scored at a high rate at every single level of hockey he's ever played. He's a 9th overall draft pick, was one of the star players for Canada at the WJC, was PPG first year in the AHL and scored 18 goals in only 45 NHL games last season at 21 years old.
He passes the eye test and has an NHL shot (to put it mildly). I don't see a world where he's less than a 25 goal a year guy and that alone will be worth 7 million in the higher cap era. I wouldn't be shocked though if he posts a few 40+ goal seasons and is a total bargin.
Just because you haven't heard of him doesn't mean the Utah MGMT haven't been watching this guys every move for years. They know what they have in him.
This isn't a random decision. I don't see this being any more risky than the Hughes/Stutzle/Sanderson/Thompson contracts.
If you don't know who he is, you soon will.
Are they trying to reach the cap floor ?Seems like a really big gamble with very little potential payoff.
If he scores near a ppg how much more could he get? Raymond just had 72 points and got 8x8.
Where does he go in a redraft ?People are severely overrating the amount of "risk" that the Utarizona Coyotes Club are taking here.

Well you can have 2 bridge deals and still end up with exactly what you are trying to avoid. See Darnell Nurse.Whatever happened to bridge deals?
The risk of the Bridge deal is about blow up in the Oilers face with Bouchard when he signs a $10.5MM/aav deal next summer.Whatever happened to bridge deals?
It's just funny when fans of other fanbases judge the contract as a bad one, when their only research about the player is his last seasons goal and assist count
Who?
I'm not kidding, never heard that name once and now he's making +7M?
2 more Gs in the 2nd game2Gs on opening night!
The 1st goal for the Utah Hockey Club.
