Been some time since something as funny as British television has been on US TV

most US TV comedies suck

there are a few good ones but Inbetweeners / Fresh Meat / Peep Show / Bad Education are just epic in terms of comedy and wit

"The boy who cried at the end of Toy Story 3"

"Hunger games"

The Preet line about "whites and colored don't mix!"

that would not go in US that would be "cancelled"

Wedding Crashers has been free on TV here but I've never bothered to watch it

Someone is talking about how Office is overrated, yeah the US one is immensely overrated

People only like it because of Michael Scott who is pretty iconic

Most of the crew and cast are forgettable

the Lorre ones like How I met Your Mother are terrible, or Big Bang theory

Community and Parks and Rec are decent

Haven't seen that

Dodgeball is up there with Superbad, it's one of my favourites. Vince Vaughn is the protagonist but doesn't have to carry the movie himself, Ben Stiller is iconic in it as the villain

I didn't really like Parks and Rec but if you enjoy that you might like The Thick of It which is sort of a similar premise. It's a political satire set in a government department (like Parks and Rec) but isn't a mockumentary and is much more in the "black comedy" category

Yes. After the 9pm watershed pretty much anything goes because that's when the TV people assume all children have gone to bed

They show it on cable (for instance the Zack and Miri movie was aired uncensored on cable with ads, saw booby and everything) but on a major network (equivalent of your ITV or BBC) it would never happen
