lmao @Sega Dreamcast Superman being a nomadic fisherman is allegory to Jesus

Nothing against the J man but what's with this forced "story finding"

SUPERMAN HAS YET TO DISCOVER HIS POWER HE IS WANDERING THE WORLD

HE FINDS THIS BIG KRYPTONIAN SHIP (never explained how he finds it, just that he wanders the world) and his DAD appears in a hologram and says "Wear this suit to fight evil". Like, in Batman Batman is motivated to fight crime because of seeing his parents killed by street thugs. What motivates Superman to be good? His hologram dad?

Superman did not even encounter any kind of enlightenment through his "path finding" as a nomad. He interfered in one fight but that was it. So here he is hitchhiking across the north with no aim in particular, no motivation to "be good". And when he "was good" he was advised by Field of Dreams to literally hide his power

Like this movie is indefensible

Playing Football Manager and one of the players in my youth team is called Keith Richards

Probably a bit embarrassing that I had to google to know he's the bloke from The Rolling Stones, I had it in my head he was out of Queen or something for some reason, but that's Freddie Mercury

I've obviously heard of him

I just couldn't remember which of the MANY extremely popular music bands we have produced in the past he belonged to.

The Rolling Stones are well before my time, I'm obviously aware of them, but they ceased to be relevant celebrities before I was born. I knew Mick Jagger was the frontman but couldn't immediately name the other members. I knew Keith Richards was a famous music band man but just couldn't immediately remember which band.

Richards and jagger were arguably the most well known of the band

That being said having grown up (yes grown up on the yellow school bus listening to 60s and 70s music all day) it's not possible to not know who he is

Even then buses to school aren't as common.

A few of my old neighbours' kids used to get a school bus but they went to schools that were slightly out of town, not the closest high school which I went to.

Most people walk/cycle to school or get lifts in the car from their parents.

Lmao in the Simpsons mil house in love episode bart rolls out of the garage door to get on the bus just in time

That doesn't happen in America

Bus wouldn't stop at your door

Bus might wait for you if they see you otherwise you have to run a shit load

In my later years they moved the bus stop somewhere else so we just quit using it

The best was driving to school. Just driving in at 7 am lol take this f***ing spot. Cause if you didn't you had to park on the side of the road a long walk away. Same in college. 7 am park. Gotta get those parking spots before the late people get em all

If you parked at 10 or 11 you'd have to circle around endlessly waiting for someone's spot to open up

Or you could just come in at 7 bring a laptop and shit post for 3 hours before class

But yeah the bus driver in the 90s used to play old music all day in the bus. Most children hated it but I don't care. Lot of good old music

This was the days of 90s rock like nirvana and pearl jam and shit

Along with American Pie, Superbad is one of the only US comedy movies that matches the quality of British comedy
American pie is free on Peacock too.

They are putting a lot of good movies on streaming services here. With ads of course.
