The Bachelor is some entertaining shit, but the whole community around the show is so annoying and bitchy.

It's a trashy reality show filled with clout-chasers, but everyone has to be nice and respectful to the contestants.

Not all of us are f***ing nerds following every single contestant on Instagram and dissecting every minute detail of every conversation.

I just want to yell at the TV and talk shit for 2 hours, then completely forget about the show until next week.

This is a hugely contentious issue around UK show "Love Island" because two former contestants and a host have killed themselves.

The Twitter community that watches it I would imagine is as equally as toxic as The Bachelor's. Especially "black twitter" who will blindly stan' any black contestant and pile on any of the white women who might have a disagreement with them in the show

They stole love island from UK in the US and made it a TV show

We take everything from the UK including millionaire and weakest link.

This season had a whole bunch of drama over some of the contestants being mean to each other. The word bullying was thrown around a lot, with some contestants calling out others' behavior. One woman got sent home for claiming another woman was an escort, which was justified, although the producers should have not aired her comments if they cared about them being damaging.

I'm just watching it and thinking "It's a competition, why are we getting upset at people being competitive?" I want more bitchiness and backstabbing and drama, while people on Reddit and Twitter apparently want the show to be as boring and wholesome as possible.

This woman was a f***ing headcase, but so damn entertaining.

The show needs more people willing to go all out and make a fool of themselves.

If people aren't being genuine, then they're putting on an act, which is the exact wrong thing to do for a dating show.

Also, The Bachelor and Bachelorette have this stupid tendency to only put physically attractive people on the show.

Yeah ratings and all that shit, but it makes the show seem more fake.

Yeah all the bitching and the drama and the shouting is the main reason I watched it, they were noticeably nicer to each other on the most recent "winter" series they did of the UK version, following the death of the former host Caroline Flack. It was mostly probably because they didn't want to get too many complaints to the TV regulators from the public.

I have heard rumours from behind the scenes where a lot of it was staged anyway where if someone did/said something that pissed someone off, the producers would give them a nudge and tell them to confront them about it, when they otherwise might not have done so
