Yeah they talked up the decision making in the previews and I ran a FoTF mode with it. Basically you have to pick between dialogue lines and it will affect your draft status and attributes

Which is nothing new. I'm pretty sure both NFL 2k5 and Madden 05 had some kind of equivalent.

People want stuff like a good Franchise mode. Not this nonsense where you can only play one season, lirl

These nerds are trying to defend PFF which is basically arbitrarily assigned numbers given to players, AKA Madden Rankings

Let's say I sat at my TV Sunday and ranked all the players I saw. I see Mahomes did well. I give him a 95.

Tom Brady played well. I give him a 94. There is no statistical backing for my ranking. I graded him based on what I saw. Not any metric whatsoever.

This is like what @Zaide does with his rankings. He ranks Kpop songs based on a scale and computes an OVR like a NHL OVR or HUT rating.

Nobody is saying this isn't good, feel free to do whatever you want with your free time. But is it a MEANINGFUL metric? It is based on what your eyes saw. There is no statistic linking that rating.

I can't remember where I read it, but the EA Sports games went downhill after the PS3 and 360 became the mainstream consoles because they couldn't bring over their code from previous years, so they had to recode everything from the ground up, which means a bunch of shit got cut and never put back in.

I played Madden 08 on PC for about 4 years after they stopped updating

I'm aware of how good that game is

The problem is the graphics and rosters are not updated for today. People updated NHL 06 (last one for PC IIRC) but the rosters are still not up to date. What's the point of playing without 2021 rosters?

I would say that outright charging someone to play the game would be worse, but considering player contracts is a big part of Ultimate Team, one could argue they are charging you to play the game in a roundabout way.

Madden 22 needs an All 22 game mode, where each team has 11 users, each controlling a single player.

NHL can do that for EASHL because there are only 5 people on the ice for your team (6 if you include goalie, but goalie is usually cpu controlled)
